3-steps to get started: 1. Install two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Match the plus (+) and minus (-) signs as diagrammed in the compartment. 2. Insert finger into the finger chamber. 3. Press the power button. Stay still and your SpO2 and Pulse Rate readings will be displayed in about 5 seconds. Tips to get accurate and reliable readings: 1. Make sure that finger nail is kept short and free of nail polish. Finger should be inserted into the finger chamber completely to ensure proper placement. 2. Make sure that the finger chamber is clean before use. To clean, gently wipe with slightly dampened soft cloth. 3. When taking readings, keep finger as well as body as still as possible. Any movement will affect the accuracy of the readings as the device will reset with each detected movement. 4. Excessive ambient infrared light, for example in an overly bright lit room, can interfere with the device sensor. Make sure that you are in a moderately lit room when taking readings. 5. Poor blood circulation can affect oximeter readings. If your hands are cold, warm your hands and fingers before taking readings. 6. As the pulse oximeter is measuring SpO2 and Pulse Rate based on blood flow, it is not suitable for use by people with certain medical conditions, such as anemia, hypotension and hypothermia. Please consult with your healthcare provider before use.

No muss, no fuss, no worries!
Our daughter has viral-induced asthma, and whenever the winter season rolls around we have to watch her very carefully. This oxygen monitor has made it a breeze to check up on our sweet girl and make sure she’s getting the oxygen she needs. It’s specially designed for children, which is a large reason we went with this one over others on the market. The bright colors make it unintimidating and cheerful during moments that can feel scary, and it reads quickly and accurately to put our minds at ease faster. It’s comfortable when worn, and she barely even twitches when we put it on. Recommend!

Accurate readings but doesn’t work well very young children
Our trach- vent baby is transitioning from full-time ventilator to an HME and only requires spot checks of his O2 levels during the day as opposed to wearing a pulse ox constantly. I looked for a product that would be more than as the medical company has no such thing available, and spot checking him during the day with his standard pulse-ox is very inconvenient, especially on the go. This particular device is recommended for ages 2 and up. Our son is 18 months, but I was unable to find any other portable device like this that was recommended for an age under 2. So I decided to give this one a try in the hopes that it would work anyway. It does take on average two to three minutes to register a reading. It shows the wavelength almost immediately but does not return a reading for quite a while. Obviously it can be very difficult to get an 18 month old to sit still long enough to get a good reading. I will say, however, that when I do get a reading it is accurate. I cannot say that this is necessarily a flaw in the design as it states specifically that the device is intended for ages 2 and up, but I do wish that this company, or another, but develop a portable pulse-ox like this one that could accommodate infants. Our son was a micro preemie so even at 18 months he is much smaller then most babies. So I doubt at 2 years of age device will be able to as it should anyway because of his smaller size. Overall, however, I think it is a very good product, I just wish it could accommodate smaller fingers.

This is the right size for a about 4 year olds and up and is pretty accurate.
This fits my 6 year old grandson fine. It is a cute polar bear with the nose as the on button. It registers fast and gives a pretty accurate reading. It was the exact one the doctor had at the office. I checked it along side two other adult O2 saturation units and they were all within 1% ( I checked mine at the doctor’s office when they messure my O2 saturation). It turns off automatically after a about 5 seconds or so after removing from finger. Two AAA batteries last a long time, over a day or more if you were to run it 24/7 but you only need to take a reading a few times a day to check how your child’s O2 is. I recommend this product!

Great product.
I care for a disabled child who likes to squirm and flick the pulse ox of his finger. This one reads within 10 seconds. Works great.

Works for 9 mo old
I bought this after my 9 mo old baby was diagnosed with RSV and her oxygen levels were dipping below 90 in her checkups. She’s a little baby (below 10% in length, and weight) so I was afraid her fingers would be too small to detect and yes, when she’s awake it’s impossible to get a reading but when she’s asleep I can slip the reader on her thumb easily and I get an accurate reading. It’s very fast to get a reading and seems to be consistent. The first time I tried turning it on it wasn’t turning on, took a few tries to get it working but after it started working it’s been turning on every time I hit the power button so who knows if it needed the jolt of good batteries instead of the offbrands included. It’s kind of flimsy looking and looks like it’ll fall apart every time you open it to put a finger in but the screen is very clear and informative. Cheap and effective, definitely recommend.

I had been looking for a SATs probe for children as all the ones on phones dont seem to work very well for you children. I bought this one based on the adult one having high reviews and must admit that I was very impressed.Firstly the build quality is great and its design is a nice touch for children, the protective bag/carry case it comes with is made from good quality material too.The display turned on straight away and was nice and bright even at its default (Its has options to make it brighter). Once on you can press the bears nose (the on/off button) to change the display and there are a lot of options some being the same design just a different orientation. my preference is the one with a small graph that way it makes it easier to see if you are going to get a good reading. The reading is pretty accurate. Sometimes you do have to reposition the unit to get a better contact and for anyone who has experience with these things in hospitals would know that it takes a couple of goes to get a good measurement.Anyone who is looking for one for children then this is it, you will not be disappointed.
