A little goes a LONG WAY.
I got this tea on sale thinking it was stevia sweetened and would make a refreshing iced green tea. Let me tell you about my first foray with this tea. I added a heaping teaspoon of powder onto a 32 oz glass of hot water and added a few shots of stevia liquid. It was darker than I remember green tea being. My first taste and I wanted to gag. The taste was soooooooo bad that I got an instant headache and I almost dumped it down the drain. I am glad I did not. I added more stevia and tried it again. No change whatsoever, still overpowering. Instead, I got a fresh 32 oz glass of ice water and added about 2 ounces of the tea /stevia tar from the original 32oz glass into the fresh one and mixed it up. Wow, the color was a beautiful light green that I expected to see. The flavor was outstanding. I then dumped the rest of the 32oz glass into a 2 gallon pitcher and ended up with 2 gallons of refreshing sweet tea. The directions call for 1/4 tsp. Personally even that much seems like a lot and was way too much. Today, I mix a slightly full teaspoon powder into 2 gallons of water and add the sweetener and it is great! I love this tea now and smells good in the cabinet once you open the package. I paid $8 on Amazon for the bag. I am not sure that I would pay $15. Buy it on sale and try diluting it if you do not like the taste. You may find that the right balance is based on how much water you use. I will say that as HOT tea with sugar, it seems to be better but I still use less powder than recommended. I purchased the mango flavored green tea.

bitter and flavorless
I drank a cup of this back to back against a cup of Lipton instant tea and the Lipton tea was the winner in every respect. Lipton was more flavorful, less bitter, had more depth complexity and character, mixed better with sugar and lemon, was better by itself. Lipton is about 4 or 5 times cheaper than this tea. What went wrong? I have no idea. Maybe it’s been on the shelf for 5 years, maybe they used all roots and stems and no actual tea leaves to make this powder. Some shortcuts were made. There’s a reason people who drink this sort of tea only used the flavored mixes such as peach or dragonfruit or whatever artificial flavor. If you try to use this as instant tea it fails miserably.I can’t really afford a good ceremonial grade match and had big hopes for this instant tea. It’s terrible. I do have some nice sencha which I’ll use and of course Lipton which is a lot better than Waka.

Doesnât dissolve in cold water well
I love this tea, but for those people wanting to enjoy it as a cold beverage, please do not dissolve it it cold water. It is better enjoyed after dissolving it in warm water, and then putting it on ice. It will not dissolve well in cold waterâ¦but it has a pleasant flavor after dissolving in warm water. I first thought it was yellow turmeric powder, but after having used it in warm water and icing it, it does appear to be green tea. This may be a good thing, as it may prove that it is authentic green tea. Anyway⦠I hope that the flavor of this tea is pleasant to other people. It was bitter when dissolved in cold water, but good when dissolved in warm water.

Highly concentrated, I absolutely could taste the flavor
I got the pineapple flavor. Itâs definitely there, Iâm not sure what people were expecting, but it tastes like any other flavored tea to me. Thereâs a difference between a flavored tea and a tea with flavoring added after brewing. This tastes like an infused or flavored tea before you brew it. Still very much tea, but with strong notes of pineapple. I think people may have not had realistic expectations. I love flavored teas, always trying new ones. This tastes exactly like I expected pineapple green tea to taste. I did dilute it a bit because I donât like mine overly strong and some reviews said the tea is potent. I probably doubled the water. It was very nice, good enough to keep me away from Starbucks at my lunch break. Appreciated the iced tea instructions.

Refreshing
I add 1/4 tsp (1.25 mL) of tea to a 20oz glass of water over ice and sweeten to taste. Delicious! ð
