Product Description
WINNER of the Best Card Game award at UK Games Expo 2023!
VIKING RAIDERS is a highly interactive family game! You are a merciless Viking Chief, on a mission to get the biggest Navy, the Largest Clan and the most Loot. Spend 45 minutes with the people you love, jostling for Viking supremacy!
EASY TO LEARN – You can be playing in under 5 minutes. Just set up the Market, deal 6 cards to each player, and start taking turns! Read the flier to learn how to raid – and then you’re off! Learning cards will then turn up and introduce the rest along the way. No time wasted reading long rulebooks, more time having fun!
EASY TO PLAY – Taking a turn is quick and simple. You draw 2 cards to your hand and you may then buy one item from the Market and play one Action. That’s it! But you’ll be surprised at the depth of the game, even when it is so simple to play. No two games will be the same, and if you want an extra challenge, the box includes a mini-expansion which will give you an extra challenge and more options.
PERFECT FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES VIKINGS – The Viking theme and Norse mythology are not just seen in the gorgeous artwork, but also built into the gameplay. Has your clan been gifted a favour from one of the Norse Gods like Odin, Frejya, Thor, and Loki? Or maybe they have captured a wandering Berserker? Will you get hit by Ragnarok or raided in the dead of night? In short, we guarantee you will feel totally Vikingy long after the game has finished.
IDEAL GIFT – Viking Raiders is the perfect gift for either boys or girls, for parents who love playing board games with their families, and anyone who wants to have a memorable time with their friends! An ideal birthday or Christmas present!

Canât stop playing!
Brilliant card game with simple to follow rules and even a first play through deck so you learn as you play. But it really is easy to follow. Add two cards to your Han, and either buy a card from market with resource cards in hand or take an action (you can do both not either or). You can steal from other players. Or raid them. Itâs really fun . Watch it played and then give it a go. Great fun.

Super Fun and Thematic ‘Take That’ Card Game – tons of fun!
I love this game – it’s quick to teach and easy to play, with a fun Take That mechanic combined with Set Collection and an awesome theme. Players take on the role of a Viking Chieftain, hoping to lead their faction to glory via successful Raids! Highly Recommended!!!

Raiding Should Always Be This Fun
This Viking Raiders card game by Neowulf Games, arrives sealed in a really nice looking and quite sturdy cardboard box. If you are looking to give it as a gift then the presentation is more than suitable. That good presentation continues when you open the box with the cards and instructions being both well made, and nicely designed, with colourful, easy to distinguish artwork. The game itself is designed to be played by 2 to 5 players. It is said to last from 45-60 minutes and this proved to be about right. Sometimes we had quicker games but on the whole our games fell into that range. You can alter the win condition to make the game longer or shorter, and Iâd recommend lowering it when you are playing with more players. The instructions are clear, and whatâs more, the way the cards have been set in the box allows you to play it straight out of the box, with instruction cards pre-inserted into the deck that will instruct you on what to do and any new mechanics, as and when they crop up. This âplay out of the boxâ option worked extremely well, and I hope other games adopt it in the future. The game resolves around collecting resources to build up your navy, amass the largest Clan and gain the most loot. To make things more interesting, you get to raid your opponents. Where sometimes âtake thatâ mechanics can feel unfair and lead to a bit of ill-feeling, the way this game handles things actually makes it a lot more fun. The defender gets to add raid protection cards to their tableau thatâs getting raided, which will nullify the raid if picked. Whilst the odds start at 50/50 there are mechanics that can sway the odds in the defenderâs or attackerâs favour. These raids more often than not lead to some fun moments and lots of banter as you try to out-psych your opponent into picking the wrong card, or try to outsmart them and picking the card you need. There are also several, for want of a better term, chaos mechanics, that add further randomness to the game. From action cards with certain additional conditions, to the event cards which can completely change the face of the game. As well as making the game itself more fun, all these moments only add to the player interactivity as you react to the chaos that ensues as these mechanics crop up.Theme wise the game is very good, from the artwork to the actions you can do, to the raids and the chaotic events that are thrust upon you. Even the unwritten things that happen, such as the temporary alliances that form naturally and the inevitable betrayals, and the banter between players as they boast about their victories or plot their opponents demise, feel very Viking in nature. When it comes to card and board games there is always the question of who this is for and how re-playable is it. Whilst there is strategy involved, this isnât a deep strategy type of game, so if that I what you are after you will need to look elsewhere. Nor is it a game I think you will be wanting to play frequently, as I think it would soon become repetitive.Instead, if you are with a group of friends or family, who just want to play a fairly light, easy to pick up game and have a fun couple hours, then this is the perfect game to play and to get out again every few months. It is said to be aimed at players aged 9 years and older, and I would say this is about right. As already mentioned, it is very new player friendly and easy to pick up. The box is sturdy and quite compact (17.3cm long by 12.3cm wide and 4.7cm thick), so the game is also more than suitable to pack in your bag to take on a trip, holiday, or to take to school/uni.In conclusion this is a fun, well made, card game. The theming is excellent throughout. Whilst it is easy to learn, there are still plenty of mechanics in the game to keep things interesting and prevent one person running away with things. Unlike other similar games Iâve played, the way the game is designed also leads to a lot of fun interaction between players. Itâs been noticeable that everyone Iâve played with (both winners and losers) have gone away happy, often with stories to tell of âThat one raid whenâ¦â, or âCan you believe it, I was so close to winning when [â¦] happened?â. And as such, I can highly recommend this game.~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest and impartial opinion about it. Thatâs what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~
