Keep Them Busy!
I bought this over the summer but we’re into October and my kid still uses this. I did limit him to 3 or 4 experiments each week in order to stretch things out. Left unattended, some of the ingredients were used for really dumb stuff so it’s important to monitor them a bit while using so you dont run out of things. Many experiments they can complete on their own with a bit of guidance. Some where great family projects and really fuels creativity if your child loves science or engineering. This kit came with all of the essentials. Very few household items were needed.

My son is 7 and he loves this kit.The instructions are often poorly written, and some of the experiments don’t work well.But, most of them work well and he’s learning about measuring, following directions, and some science concepts.Most importantly, he’s learning to love science and it’s a very inexpensive kit! I’ll also be able to reuse most of it when my daughter is older. Most of the actual pieces are good quality.

The kit is adorable and we loved it for making elephant toothpaste. Unfortunately, the beaker is not dishwasher safe on the top rack. It melted into a deformed puck after our first experiment. Note, hand wash only.
