A fun project but requires time
This was a bit of fun to do with the kids on a rainy day. I was hoping some of this is plastic but most is cardboard. You do have to build it and assemble it. You get a cardboard structure then you get this thing called modroc which is plaster bandages which you went and stick on it, when its dry it goes hard. It then can be painted. You get some chemicals with it which I think is bicarbonate of soda which causes a reaction. It was fun but because you have to let it dry , it can’t be built and erupted in one day. It is also a very big volcano. Kids still liked it. Wish I was round to see the eruption but they decided to take it to school and show the class instead.

Volcano
An exciting but educational set, good size good results and able to be used more than once. Doesnât erupt all over furniture or clothes !

I have tried several Volcano Science kits and this one has been the favorite. I appreciate the fact that it takes at least three days to do this activity. One day of prepping/ casting, one day of painting, and then you are ready for the volcano eruption. The fact that the volcano can be erupted over and over is a game changer too.

It was easy for her to work on and it turned out great!

Get something different. This is so poorly thought out. Thereâs no chamber for inside the volcano to pour in the chemicals for an explosion and it doesnât even tell you to get your own or anything. If you build this the way they tell you too, youâll just be pouring chemicals onto a cardboard circle in the volcano. Itâs just incredibly poorly thought out in a way that is confusing for something that actually made it to market, was packaged, advertised, stocked and sold. Itâs kind of rare to see something that is produced by adults to be of this quality; youâd think someone would have caught it!

I got this model kit as part of a project, and I thought it would be good and fun to build. Itâs quality, but the plaster is hard to handle.

The kit itself was good but we were missing some main pieces, like the center if the volcano â¦.my son had a school project due so I didnât have time to send it back and get a new one so we had to improvise.
