One of my fave Exit games!
I’ve done my fair share of Exit games over the past few years, and The Magical Academy is now one of my favourites! Three of us played it with varying previous experience and all LOVED it. The wands that are used throughout are a nice touch too!

Bought as present for the family (age range 10-48) and was great fun! Well thought out and comes with everything you need for a one time play.One star deducted because it is rather expensive for a one time play game. But much cheaper than a real escape room I suppose.

It’s much harder than novice
Well made but wow its really hard. We were 8 people and had to use lots of the clues. Have done some of these before and this was much harder. It became unenjoyable especially for the kids.

Unfun! The most confusing one I’ve played.
I have played lots of the EXIT games and enjoyed them, but this one had errors in it and I had to use the clue cards for almost every riddle as they were so obscure. Even with the solution for the final telescope puzzle, the instructions were so vague I couldn’t make sense of where to position the items. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to this. The errors are in the puzzle where you have to go past sleeping creatures (there is a mistake as the suggested route passes through an awake one) and another error with the vine task as due to the stapling of the booklet, the positioning of the vine prop was incorrect. I shall try to get a refund.

Exit games are some of the best escape-room-in-a-box game out there. The game mechanics take a little bit of getting used to the first time you play but every box has a same mechanics of how to verify each answer so once you do it once youâre good to go. The puzzles are incredibly clever and no other game makes you think outside the box quite as much as this brand. This one is no different – a solid and enjoyable game. Make sure to look at the level of difficulty on the box. The puzzles are slightly easier and the way forward a bit more clear for fewer stars.

We’ve played most of the Exit games and love them. This is one of the “easier” ones that follows a more straightforward path of solving just one riddle at a time. That being said, a couple of the riddles actually took us quite a while to solve. Love the Harry Potter-esque theme, but the riddles weren’t too exciting, and it wasn’t as much fun to play as some of the other Exit games.

My wife and I absolutely love the EXIT board games. Itâs not as immersive as an actual escape room, but the puzzles are just as good as one. It is definitely worth the cost.
