Each player chooses a colour (orange or blue) and takes the 8 cobblestone tiles, 7 chimneys, and 4 action tokens of their colour. Each player shuffles their cobblestone tiles and places them face down in a pile. Then, draw the top tile from your pile and hold it in your hand so that your opponent cannot see it.

Paris is played over two different phases. In the first phase, the players take turns placing their cobblestone tiles and taking building pieces. Each cobblestone must always be placed so that it fully occupies just one square. Add a building piece to your reserve – best to keep 3-4 building pieces in your reserve before phase 2. At the end of this phase – all 16 cobblestone tiles are placed on the board.

The first player to place all 8 cobblestone tiles in phase 1 will take the first turn in the second phase. Once again, the players alternate taking turns. On your turn, you must choose one of these two options: Place one of the buildings on the cobblestone tiles or activate an action postcard. The second phase of the game comes to an end when neither of the players can place any more buildings and all 8 action tokens have been used.

Once phase 2 is completed, each player adds up their victory points to see who has wowed the Parisians and tourists! The player who gets the most points is the winner! If there is a tie, the player with the most visible free spaces of their colour on the Cobblestone tiles wins.

New Wonders: In this game, we will take a look at Parisian wonders such as the Triumphal Arch, the Luxor Obelisk, the Louvre Museum, and the Eiffel Tower. Die-cut figures accompany the postcards, adding a spectacular three-dimensional light to Paris
Path to Victory: Accumulating more streetlights will lead to greater adoration, with the well-lit buildings earning more points and helping secure victory in the board game. A score-counting notebook for tracking game points is also included with the game
