Useful for older vehicles
This CarPlay system is perfect for older vehicles that need that modern upgrade. The instructions were very clear, so it was really easy to set up. I personally have it plugged into the cigarette lighter adapter and haven’t had any issues. The large 10-inch screen is fantastic; I’m using it in a converted campervan, and the screen can be seen from both the driver’s and passenger’s seats. The 4K dash cam has clear video quality, providing extra security while driving. The built-in speakers aren’t the best, but they do the job. It’s currently on offer for £75.99, which is a bargain, but I would say even at full price it’s definitely worth it for the features you get.

This camera system is perfect for older cars that lack the high-tech features of newer models. It works well overall, and the installation was straightforward. The reverse camera does its job, although there are occasional moments where it flickers or has some minor glitches. Despite that, itâs a great upgrade for enhancing safety and convenience in an older vehicle. The other features are nice, but I only use it for the hands free and sat nav capabilities. The screen is nice and clear and overall it looks sleek and well made.

The Texpot Car Stereo for Apple CarPlay Android Auto with 4K Dash Cam 1080P Backup Camera arrived the next day.The car stereo was well packed and came with backup rear view camera/12v power cable and fittings and instructions.It has bluetooth and built in speakers and it can be paired to the car and the played over the car speaker system.You Plug into the cigarette lighter and the system is plug and play which things easier there is a 10.6 large screen display and when the 64 g tf card is installed the recording will start on the dash cam, if you install the “Viidure” app on your phone it lets you view video playback right on your mobile device.There is gps and voice control on it as well as apple play and android auto and the whole system works very well and the large dash cam screen gives me very good picture.We are pleased with this car android system and how well it works for us.

At the current price this is an incredible bargain
If you’ve got an older car or van, but want to add a bit more of a modern touch, not to mention the piece of mind that comes with having a dashcam, this is an excellent way to do it.It’s not really for the faint of heart if you want to do it neatly though, you are going to need to pull up bits of trim or carpet in order to run wires through, particularly for the rear dash cam. You’re also going to need a bit of wiring knowledge to get it all connected etc.Personally I’m running it as is for now, just until I’m sure it’s not going to fail in the cold weather etc, but the plan is to ditch the cigarette lighter adapter, and hardwire it. It’s kind of a shame they didn’t include a hardwire kit in the box, since losing a 12v socket is inconvenient, and it makes things messy vs tucking the cable away inside the trim.Once hooked up and connected etc, it does compare pretty favourably to the built in solution in my 2018 Fiesta.

Lovely screen, stuttery music playback
This unit offered so much but failed on the basics. I got this for my nephew as a thank you for all the help he’d given me and it was to go into his aging 2004 Mercedes.The large widescreen looked really good and can display multiple functions simultaneously. The touchscreen may not be super responsive, but it’s good enough.As his car didn’t have an Aux port we had to go down the route of tuning the unit into a radio frequency. Which was straightforward. Then paired with his iPhone. Despite it being connected, we were unable to do anything with it. Music tracks were showing up, but upon pushing play nothing happened. None of the CarPlay controls seemed to work. I then tried my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and that worked better, but the playback was stuttering and fragmented. Despite multiple attempts at trying to get this to work properly we gave up and luckily enough I had a similar device and that worked fine.I then tried it in my VW Golf MK7 with the Navy Pro head unit fitted and this time plugged it into the Aux port and used my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. It was easier to set up this time, but the stuttering music playback, whether direct from the phone or from Spotify, was the same. Google Maps worked fine and so did the dash cam part. Due to the sound issues, we didn’t get around to fixing up the parking camera.Another issue I came across is that is you were using it to listed to the radio, you had to switch it back to the radio frequency you tuned it into, in order to use the CarPlay & Android Auto features – it connecting via the radio.It feels as though there’s too many features packed into a unit with too little power to handle themI hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful.
