Superb quality, effective design
I bought this to allow me to use my phone as a GPS in the car. This version clips to the louvres of the car air vent which is what I wanted but they also sell another version which attaches to the dashboard via a magnet.
The unit is a high quality design which looks and feels good but more importantly attaches securely to the air vent and does not become detached. It can be easily removed if you want to use it in more than one car (a hire car for example) and the grip clip is extremely sturdy unlike some other flimsy holders that I have had in the past.
I found it best to clip it to the bottom louvre of the vent and the ball-joint design made it very easy to position the angle so that the phone was in the best and direct angle of view. Once fitted the unit does not move at all with the vibration of the car even when going over speed bumps or potholes. The phone attaches by magnetism (two metal disks included which affix to the back of the phone) and this is strong enough (even through a phone case) to hold the phone firmly in place.
This is a high quality unit which will last for years, it is a very effective design which works very well and it is small enough to slip into a pocket for example if using a hire car on holiday. Highly recommended.

Crocodile teeth are terrible, magnet is amazing.
The magnet in this is amazing, my phone stays attached to it even when it comes off and flies across the car. The downside is the crocodile teeth, in my car it doesn’t seem to surround the grill so much as sit on it and grip it, which isn’t enough to hold it. Every once in a while it slips off and the whole mount ends up somewhere on the floor. When it comes to holding the phone though it does an excellent job, I just think the crocodile clip could be better, and maybe have it patch behind the AC grill.

Sturdy and high quality!
I’m really happy with this. As a delivery driver who needs to take their phone off at every stop, this magnetic design makes sense. It fits in the air vent of my BMW and it’s super sturdy! Every bump, hump and pothole I hit, it stays with the car. As for the extra level of protection you get with the device to stick on to your phone, is rather impressive!
It feels expensive, but it isn’t!

Don’t make the same mistake as me!
I’ve given this one star overall in the hope it draws attention and prevents others making the same mistake as me.
This item is great value and works for ‘normal’ smartphones that you plug in to charge, however something that is NOT AT ALL CLEAR in the description is that for this holder to work you have to place the supplied small adhesive metal plate on the back of either your phone or phone case … and there’s the rub … IT TOTALLY REMOVES THE SMART CHARGING FUNCTIONALITY OF YOUR PHONE! (in my case and iPhone 13 pro max).
So for any normal cable charged device OR if you want to totally brick your phones smart charging functionality then I would recommend it like thousands have, but this is TOTALLY UNSUITABLE FOR A MAGSAFE IPHONE or similar smart charger phones. Additionally regards compatibility I found on my Audi TT round vents the jaws of the clamp couldn’t be inserted fully to grip properly so I would expect it to easily fall off on a bumpy ride.

I’ve wanted a mint that didn’t glue to my dash or stick on the windshield. This mount slips on the vent louvre and stays. Nothing to tighten just push it on. My dash looks uncluttered

La mia macchina non consentiva nessun altro modo per fissare il cellulare così da poter vedere il navigatore. Il telefono rimane in posizione . Ne ho acquistato anche un altro che ho dato a mio marito per la sua macchina.

Am Anfang hatte ich Angst, dass das Handy vom Magnet fällt, wenn man holprigen Straßen unterwegs ist. Dies ist allerdings nicht der Fall. Nutze die Halterung jetzt seit einem dreiviertel Jahr und hatte noch nie Probleme damit. Empfehlenswert dabei ist es, eine dünne Hülle am Handy zu benutzen, da der Magnet zwar stark, aber letztendlich auch nur ein Magnet ist. Die Installation ist denkbar einfach, dennoch schadet der Blick in die Anleitung nicht. Auch schadet der Magnet den feinen elektronischen Bauteilen (SIM-Karte, microSD-Karte) nicht im geringsten, hatte bisher keinerlei Probleme dahingehend. Auch das GPS-Signal und der Mobilfunkempfang werden in keinstem eingeschränkt. Durch die verschiedenen Magnete auch mit mehreren Geräten einsetzbar und auf individuelle Bedürfnisse geachtet – TOP!
