This doesn’t appear to be Rhassoul Clay!
Having used Rhassoul Clay many times over the past 20 years, I was shocked to open this and see the colour which is darker than red clay. Apart from the deep red colour, it also appeared slightly shiny, similar to a mica colourant. The colour of the clay on the packaging which resembles Rhassoul is not what is in the bag. I fully understand the nature of natural clays and how they can change in appearance batch to batch but never have I seen such a huge change in appearance and even texture.When used in a cosmetic recipe it turned dark brown, the consistency not as one would expect from Rhassoul, it also stains. Because this product does not share the regular appearance of Rhassoul I have returned it, it would be foolish for anyone to use a product that doesn’t appear to be as it should.
