NOT 100% waterproof !
Unfortunately, I bought these as a gift. So werenât opened or used until the return window closed.The integrity of the speakers themselves may be âwater resistantâ but certainly not the electrics and connectors.The power adapter into the back of the speaker is not sealed. If exposed to water it WILL short.The transformer between the speaker and the mains is also just a normal âComputer styleâ transformer. So too the plug into the mains.I raised this to the supplier. I was told to put the transformer into a box !? Not the response I hoped for. What am I supposed to do with the powered speaker ? Put that into a box too?Lastly. It states it will connect to any Bluetooth device. The insinuation is it will connect therefore to an Alexa device. Not so. I found these by searching for âAlexa Compatible external waterproof speakers.â So I think Amazon is at fault too.Add to this the short mains cable length and I have a bit of a disaster on my hands. The supplier doesnât give a monkeys.So, BUYER BEWARE. All thatâs said is simply not true regarding its waterproof or resistant nature. So if intended for outside, look elsewhere.

Iâm a working musician and am very particular about sound quality. Purchased these self-powered speakers for the patio so we could enjoy some background tunes while lounging on the deck or in the pool. Quite honestly, I didnât have very high expectations for them, considering the price and the fact that they are manufactured in China. However they sound very good. Theyâre not going to blow you over with volume and bass endâ¦but thatâs not what theyâre designed for. In terms of their application they perform extremely well. Very happy with this purchase. Iâd definitely recommend them.

I read some reviews about these not being fully weatherproof, so I will preface by saying I have no idea since these are used inside. The building they are in is roughly 1k sqft and with both speakers on either side the sound is perfect and they get pretty loud with any static or weird unequal sounds. They’re connect to an older imac through bluetooth and I have not had any connectivity issues in the past couple months of using these. Hanging them up was also as easy as taking them out of the box! I went for an upright position so they could swivel left and right but there’s also an option to hang them horizontally for your own preference. I would recommend these for sure, but if you plan to have them far apart like I did, invest in some extra speaker wires. For a home setup you shouldn’t have an issue with length but the wire they include is really thin and flimsy and could lead to a loss in quality.
