The Magic of Turmeric

There have been and continue to be many high-quality studies into the benefits of turmeric and curcumin. Scientists have tended to focus their research on curcumin, which is one of the curcuminoids found in turmeric and typically makes up 3-5% of the turmeric root. Extracting curcumin for supplements ignores the symbiotic role other curcuminoids may play in the magic of turmeric, so Rejoovenate uses the entire turmeric powder in all its products.

Helping the Body’s Ability to Absorb Curcumin

High Quality Turmeric

Rejoovenate personally sources its turmeric from the naturally fertile lands of Southen Kerala in India. Each harvest of our turmeric is microbiology analysed to accurately measure the curcumin content and is normally between 4.2 and 4.8%.

Oil Carrier

Turmeric is not water soluble but is soluble in an oil. When dissolved in fat, curcumin will go directly into the lymphatic system bathing all the cells in the body. It also bypasses the liver in what is called the first pass phenomenon.

Black Pepper

Piperine is a compound in ground black pepper and improves the bioavailability of curcumin considerably. Piperine works by protecting curcumin from the digestive enzymes that are actively trying to metabolise it and remove it from the bloodstream.

Heat

Adding heat increases solubility of turmeric. There is no definitive evidence as yet to the extent that this impacts on bioavailability although it does mean that turmeric is more readily absorbed by the body.

We have the privilege of working with a number of farmers who are passionate about nurturing and cultivating their land naturally, free of pesticides and fertilisers.

As part of a co-operative they are educated, supported and monitored to give an outlet for their produce to be cleaned, dried and sold.

✅ ADVANCED GOLDEN PASTE POWDER FORMULATED FOR MAXIMUM ABSORPTION & BIOAVAILABILTY – Curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, is notoriously hard for the body to absorb. Piperine (the alkaloid in black pepper) and MCT powder (the healthy fat from Coconut Oil) significantly increase the bioavailability of curcumin.
✅ POWERFUL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY – Start with 1/8 to 1/4 of a teaspoon sprinkled on dogs food, twice a day. Increase dosage slowly until joints ease.
