Wonderful matcha!
This is a great quality matcha powder that can be used in multiple ways. It works well making both iced or hot matcha lattes, matcha tea (iced or hot), or added into smoothies and shakes. It mixes easily and smoothly and gives such a wonderful flavor to my favorite drinks.

Great quality, versatile ingredient
This Riftvalley organic culinary-grade matcha powder is exactly as I expected at a competitive price. It ships in minimal packaging and comes in a zip-top resealable light-proof bag just as pictured with nutrition and serving suggestions. Culinary-grade matcha tea like this is ideally used for baking, cooking, and mixing with other flavors, both sweet and savory. Not being as floral and colorful as ceremonial-grade matcha, this culinary-grade powder isn’t really meant for drinking straight. In a pinch, you could prepare it as a tea and just be disappointed in its acidity and depth of flavor. Also unlike ceremonial-grade matcha, this product can stand up to a bit of heat/cooking, although hard/long boiling still brings out an unpleasant bitterness. I use it most often for fun and healthy summertime treats like smoothies, cream cheese spreads, lattes, and lemonade. It’s versatile and I look forward to experimenting with new recipes like homemade matcha gnocchi/pasta and cupcakes. This USDA organic product is sourced from Japan by a climate pledge friendly business.

Interesting flavor.
I’d never had matcha powder before, so I didn’t know what to expect. I mixed it into hot steamed milk to make a latte. I also accidentally used a tbsp instead of a teaspoon because I was in a hurry, so my results probably weren’t the greatest.I will say that it’s probably best to use a blender since even after stirring vigorously, there was a lot of powder that didn’t mix (that may also be because I used way too much). It was an interesting flavor; a lot of people say it has a grassy flavor, but to me, it tasted a little like seaweed. It’s definitely very concentrated, and I think the next time I make it, I may even use less than the instructions state. It wasn’t bitter, but I think some sugar would improve it too.The powder itself is protected inside a metallic, waterproof, resealable bag, which keeps it dry and fresh, and its shelf life is well into 2025.

Good quality Culinary Grade Matcha, Country of Origin Relatively Unknown
This matcha is a good quality Culinary Matcha. It’s perfect for putting into lattes, baked goods (cheesecakes), etc. It has a relatively grassy taste which means it’s a high quality matcha powder. The only issue I have with the product is that the country of origin is relatively unknown. Although the product page has Japan as the Country of Origin in small text, it’s nowhere stated in the package. Also if the product’s country of Origin was from Japan it would help install a lot of confidence to buyers if it was JAS certified so people would know without a doubt that this is a excellent high quality product.

High quality green tea powder for making matcha cookies and lattes
Recently I have been seeing plenty of recipes for making matcha cookies. I knew as soon as the Rift Valley organic matcha powder arrived the first thing I was going to do was use it for baking. I like this green tea powder is organic and non gmo.It is sourced from Japan which is a added bonus. I followed my normal chocolate chip recipe but added 1 tb of this matcha powder to the batter. My first time making matcha cookies was a success. They were delicious. I could taste the matcha and combined with the chocolate they were so tasty. I love the festive green color of the cookies which would be especially nice on Christmas or St. Patrick’s day. I also used this matcha to make the iced latte recipe that comes with it. The drink was refreshing and gave me a boost of energy.

Fresh delicious Matcha powder
This RiftValley matcha comes in a 4Oz resealable bag. This is Organic Culinary Grade matcha so the size is much bigger than the small ceramony grade Matcha tins. I use these for Matcha latte which I drink daily. The powder is fine and fresh, with proper Matcha flavor. I do use milk and a squirt of agave with my Matcha Latte. With only half to one teaspoon of Matcha powder per cup, this bag will last a long time. Cold or hot, this makes a very delicious Matcha Latte.

Good Matcha powder
I like this matcha powder. The recipe on the bag for the matcha latte is simple but good. I like to make it with differently flavored syrups for variety. It’s important to note that it really requires a blender to thoroughly mix it. Otherwise, there are little clumps of powder that don’t mix in.
