As the leader of one of the great 7 cities of the ancient world, you must carefully gather resources, develop commercial routes, and affirm your military supremacy.
Build your city and erect architectural wonders that will last through the ages.
Players draft cards over multiple rounds, carefully building towards long-term goals.
Quick gameplay keeps players engaged, regardless of player count.
The game is divided in three ages. These ages are played similarly, each player is given the opportunity to play 6 cards to develop their city.
Players draw from a hand of cards that is passed around the table; each player drawing in turn and examining all the cards.
At the end of each age, each player compares their military strength with one of their neighboring cities.
When the third age is over, players score the points given by their cards and their military conflicts. The winner is the player with the most points.

Fantastic Game
Really easy to learn. To become good, there’s a lot of tactics/strategy to keep it interesting and varied every time. You get better at it with every game. Everyone we’ve played it with loves it too. Quick to set up and doesn’t require a lot of room to play.

One of my absolute favourites
I played this years ago in the first edition but never owned it myself so I was really happy to pick this up. I have brought it while visiting friends and family and it has been a hit every time. While it is easy to learn, it is quite complex in terms of strategy, so it works well with different sets of people. A must have and a great introduction to board games for the uninitiated as well!

Good Game, But Arrived Damaged
A good game, I’ve played it a few times with friends at a board gaming group and wanted a copy myself. Got this. Likely amazon’s fault, either the delivery driver or similar. But the game arrived with a massive dent in the side. The game contents were all fine, but its not nice receiving a new game and having a damaged box from the get go.

Great fun lots of replayability
Great fun for grown ups or older children. Rules are pretty straight forward to get and a game takes 30-40 minutes with 6 people playing, would be less for smaller groups! Scored slightly lower for travelling as the box is hardly travel size, it’s a fullsize board game box. However the fact that you play onto your own individual board does mean you don’t necessarily have to have a big dining table to sit at to be able to play.
