EXCELLENT Quality, Vibrant Lush Green Color, Mellow and Flavorful Taste…..
I drink matcha 3 times a day, sometimes more.I have had some really good Matcha as well as some really bad Matchathat I wouldn’t even bother baking with.I love it when I find a Matcha with awesome quality and flavor. This Matcha from Ocha & Co is an excellent quality Matcha as far as I’m concerned. The color is a vibrant beautiful green. It smells fresh and slightly toasted withhints of nori ( which I LOVE), tastes wonderful withfresh green vegetal notes present and NO bitterness what so ever. It’s mellow and flavorful at the same time.It blends well with water and is smooth when you drink it…it can be made as a tea and sipped ( it’s that good)or blended in a latte ( I’ve done both) you could bake with it BUT I won’t with this one – it’s to good to waste on bakingin my opinion. This one is for drinking and enjoying !This was shipped registered mail directly from Japan and got here surprisingly fast. The packaging is a foiltype ziplock package that reseals really well. For the price I have to say that I think it’s a deal with awesome value for an Organic High Quality Matcha!I believe Anyone who really loves Matcha will appreciate and love this one by Ocha & Co.I know that I will be ordering this as one of my regular keep in house Matcha.I have attached some pictures of the powder and also of the matcha after I added a little water so that you can seethe first mark of great quality matcha —COLOR. The powder is much more vibrant “in person”.

The best quality matcha I’ve tried – Sweet yet balanced
This is genuinely one of the best matcha on the market. It is in the pricier side but the quality is worth the price. Its has a sweet scent which is noticeable from the bag as well as a the perfect beautiful green colour. Would definitely recommend !! 🙂

Best Macha for Me
Iâve tried a number of Matchas including a number of more expensive ones. I like this one the best. It has a nice smooth flavor, nice color and good texture. It mixes more easy than some others Iâve tried. And most importantly to me, the caffeine content is just right. Iâve found some other matches that have too strong a caffeine hit leaving me a bit buzzy. This one doesnât but does give me good balanced energy. 5 stars and I keep buying it.

Good Value, Decent Taste, Questionable Sourcing
My partner and I are matcha latte drinkers. We usually get our matcha from Ippodo or a Japanese grocery store. However, it’s not very cost-effective, as 20 grams of matcha typically averages around $20-$30 in the US. So, when I saw 100g priced the same as a 20g container, I had to try it out.According to their website and Amazon page, they claim the matcha is from the Shizuoka prefecture. However, the actual label only says itâs from Japan, with no further details. Itâs also a bit strange that Ocha & Co is based in Hokkaido, where tea is not grown; though, it could just be where their warehouse or port is located. The lack of information on both their website and the package makes me a bit skeptical about the sourcing, but at least itâs JAS Organic certified.Taste-wise, it’s goodâat least good enough for lattes, though probably not for ceremonial use. The color is on the lighter, yellower side, but still green. It has some astringency and bitterness that pairs well with lattes, and thereâs even a touch of sweetness to round it out. If I were to be critical, it lacks the deeper flavors of higher-quality matchas, but I canât complain given the price point.

Amazing flavor and quality
I’ve tried quite a few matcha tea brands and have settled in on Ocha & Co. Kyoto Uji Matcha because of the wonderful flavor and consistent quality. It may cost a little more than some lower quality brands but it is worth it, IMO.

Worth a try; light flavor with a strong aroma
I’m relatively new to the world of matcha, so take this review with a grain of salt. The flavor of this matcha is significantly different from the brand I used previously (also culinary grade). It seems a bit lighter/less overall flavor and has its own unique aroma that is slightly fishy-er and less grassy (it’s a very hard flavor to define). I haven’t tasted this flavor in any other matcha I’ve had commercially prepared (in a coffee shop) either. It’s not good or bad; just different. The color is obviously brighter and more vibrant green; I assume this means there’s less oxidation of the product and it’s, therfore, fresher, but I have no other proof to back this up. I’m not sure if it’s common to have such big differences between the flavor profiles of culinary grade matcha as this is only the second brand I’ve bought for home use.

Great matcha
This is our go to matcha due to price and organic. Great flavor and consistency. Ocha is a great brand with excellent products. Their ceremonial grade is my favorite but also spendy for the amount you get.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the matcha and thought Iâd give it a try despite mainly using brands directly from Japan. But this one had a lovely creamy taste, good level of bitterness with subtle sweetness. Good value too

It has a lovely colour and great smell. Froths well, I used about 3 scoops and 300 ml of hot water. The only thing I didnât like is that it has a slight smell of seaweed but that may be due to how I prepared it. Texture is smooth and is a good amount but it is a bit pricy. Tastes nice even without milk

I purchased this one as an alternative to the more expensive one I usually use, and I hardly taste any difference. Absolutely wonderful tea, with beautiful colour and taste. Highly recommend!
