Very poor quality, the app one day working 4 days not, trying to speak with customer service and not getting any help, very expensive dash cam, donât spend money, I donât recommend!!

Reliability – so far so better
Initially after the problematic setup the camera seemed to function OK but there is a dearth of information about real world ownership, including standard recording duration and event triggers.Internal camera view at night is OK with the IR, but externally, the front & rear cameras with low/no lights struggle to produce any meaningful image.The cost of the online service is high and speed of online connection can take some time depending on the mobile signal.Initially I had some connection problems between the app and the device but the telephone support (Germany) resolved issues quickly and with the latest firmware some of the issues have been resolved.As a result of the telephone support (don’t bother with the online support it takes ages for a meaningful response) I have updated my score to 4 stars.A new and innovative (and pricy) product, there is a lot to like and hopefully the app and firmware will improve in functionality over time.

lets just say the unit doesn’t live up to the sales literature
quite simply (and being as polite as possible) the unit I had was at best unresponsive, ok half the time I couldn’t actually get it to come up on the app, it didn’t detect me walking around my car, peering through , and tapping on the windows in broad daylight, sometimes not even when I sat in the drivers seat! so the smart sense parking or guardian modes aren’t really all they are hyped up to be.my wife has a £30 dash cam that in the real world isn’t smart, but does what it should and does it as well as this one, not saying I’m off to get a £30 dashcam but after this I’m finding it hard to justify anything at this sort of price level

I got the Nextbase IQ 4K. The camera is excellent and works great, but the rear dash cam needs and update or firmware asap. It barely works and disconnects all the time from the app. Nextbase definitely needs to update the cameras software more often. Iâm using the latest firmware on the camera and the latest app version. The software has way too many bugs, they did a horrible job testing it.Once the connection issues are fix, Iâll update my review!

Very simple and straight forward to install. Also purchased the front cam and they work perfectly together. Picture is high quality. Love the ability to get notifications on my phone if movement is detected around my car. Our neighborhood has experienced some car break ins recently, and now I have piece of mind I will be able to act quickly if anything happens as well as get a clear image of anyone around my car. Worth every penny!

Would not set up or work. Same thing happened with the iQ main camera and had to send it back. Did every thing according to instructions. Contacted customer support and everything they had me try did not work. Even after multiple attempts, nothing helped. Still waiting for more help and has been over a week without further contact.
