Effective Joint Support with a Herbal Twist for Pets
I recently started using the Muscle and Joint Salmon Oil for Pets, and overall, it’s been a positive addition to my pet’s daily routine. The blend of salmon oil with turmeric and ginger is an intriguing mix, and it seems to be working well.
First off, the oil’s consistency is just rightânot too thick and not too runny. My dog takes it easily, which is a huge plus. The salmon oil is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which is known to support joint health and reduce inflammation. Since starting this supplement, Iâve noticed a reduction in my dog’s stiffness, especially after those long walks.

Salmon oil
We’ve been adding salmon oil to our dogs food for a while now and have certainly seen a difference in the condition of their coats. But this is the first one we’ve used that has added turmeric and ginger, so it will be interesting to see how this improves their general health and mobility too
The oil comes in a 300ml tub, and the amount you give depends on the dogs weight. There is a weight and dosage chart on the side of the bottle to help with this. It can be fed directly to the dog or added to their food, I prefer to add it to our dogs food
The oil is made with natural ingredients that are non GMO, ethically farmed and produced in the UK. Among the ingredients are Scottish salmon oil, ginger root, turmeric root, frankincence, organic hemp seed oil and black peppercorns to help with inflammation, joint pain and stiffness as well as helping with itching
It’s too soon to see the anti inflammatory benefits with this oil for our dogs yet, but I have every confidence that it will help them, I will update this review at a later date if I don’t see any improvement

Pump doesn’t work
Arrived leaking and the pump doesn’t work, so I have decanted it into a water bottle to (carefully) poor onto the hound’s kibble. Seems to be good quality and going down well with the dog, but poor packaging/delivery have totally undermined what might have been a good product.

Pump is not great
Our do is not the biggest fan of this but we will persist and as he is getting older we hope this will be good for his joints.
However what makes this a difficult product is the pump. Not only did it seem like it was already primed when it arrived but to unlock there was no “click” or anything. The other issue with using this oil in a pump is it leaks. Any residue left in the spout leaks or dribbles with the slightest movement make a right mess.
While a pump is a quick an easy way to dispense the oil it is also messy. I think it would be better to pour and have a lid you can securely close.

Dogs happy to have on food
Our dogs have had salmon oil for years, but I’ve not tried it with additional turmeric etc. It’s a handy combination as I used to give that separately and don’t have to now.
Scottish Salmon oil, so good to be from the UK, and it seems to be good quality particularly with the added ingredients giving additional anti-inflamatory benefits. The dogs are happily eating this pumped onto the top of their breakfast. The pump is a simple easy way to dispense, and you don’t spill any which is handy.

My dog loves this, I sometimes struggle with getting him to eat supplements he sniffs out what I smuggle into his food. He has no issue with this! Easy to use pump and instructions too. Great stuff.

Good quality but pricey
We always get salmon oil for our dogs, but tend to try different brands.
This Salmon Oil is quality dog vitamin supplement that is made with salmon oil, ginger root, turmeric root, organic hemp seed oil and Francincense (never heard of this before, but seemingly it has anti-inflammatory effect) .
Omega-3 fatty acids can help to improve your dog’s skin and coat, joint health, and immune system.
It comes in a liquid form that can be added to the dog’s food. The recommended dosage is 4 pump for a medium sized dog per day. It say the dosage on the back of the bottle. It’s a 300ml bottle with pump attachment.
My only issue is that it’s very pricey for what it is and you can find similar products for half the price.
