Product Description
Features of Miya Matcha (美谷) by Matcha Konomi
Organic matcha green tea powder.Miya matcha can be easily whisked without prior sifting. No additives.Ceremonial grade.Product of Miyazaki Prefecture of Japan.
Authentic Japanese Matcha made by strict farming and processing techniques
Shade grown for 3 weeks
Shading prior to harvest will block the majority of sun light. This is a traditional step in creating matcha with a direct impact on flavor and quality.
Carefully selected leaves
This matcha is made from delicate first harvest leaves from the top of the tea plants.
Ground to perfection
After removing the stems and veins, tencha will be carefully ground to Matcha. The grinding process is slow enough not to create too much heat that would affect the quality of the powder and damage the flavor.
Fresh Matcha year-round
Our semi-processed leaves are stored in temperature controlled units. Those leaves will be processed and ground to Matcha in small batches as needed, then shipped to the United States every two to three weeks by express air freight. This process allows us to provide freshly ground Matcha through out the year.

The most perfect matcha!
I consider myself an aficionado of Japanese culture, food, places, people, dress, etc. I have been to Japan 11 times, many of those trips to tea growing regions of Shiga, to which my city, Traverse City, Michigan has been sister cities to Tsuchiyama (later Koka) for 55+ years. This matcha is some of the best I have ever worked with and consumed. The taste is phenomenal, the color is idyllic, and the consistency a true testament to the quality with which Michelle Fraedrick and Matcha Konomi have crafted. Hands down the best matcha Iâve ever found for purchase! As if that isnât enough, each tin includes an individual sheet of washi paper ðµ

Very Savory, mild on bitterness
The taste is very savory, and a bit pulled back in bitterness/sweetness. I’d say it is a good fit for an afternoon tea party with confectionaries, compared to Matcha Konomi’s signature Akira, which is better for breakfast tea. Texture is very smooth, you do not feel the grains even if you use a lot of powder, and it is very easy to froth. This may not exactly be the flavor profile you like, but I can easily tell that this is high quality tea.Drinking Guide: this tea definitely needs to be sifted before consumption. As a rule of thumb, tea that is not as bitter and more savory typically tends to hold a bit of natural oil/moisture (you can tell from its vibrant dark green appearance), so make sure to sift them to prevent clumping.

Love it!
I’ve tried several types of matcha over the past several years. This one just hits different. No bitter taste, easy to blend and I actually enjoyed drinking it this morning!

No bitterness and good price point
Iâve been a âhigh qualityâ matcha drinker for probably a year now and while the color of this matcha did make me skeptical of it at first I will say for the price point and how much you get it is well worth it. Will definitely be buying again!

Itâs great quality
Has a smooth green taste, aroma is soft but strong in a way that isnât discomforting. Taste isnât bitter and has some sweetness to it

Taste rich and smooth like a good matcha, not grassy tasting.
I drink it cold and make it in a vitamix blender. I add 1/2 cup soy milk and 1/2 cup water, along with two medjool dates and a dash of cinnamon and blend really well. Itâs super delicious.

Itâs Delicious and worth the extra 4$
Iâm on my 3rd bottle of this Matcha. Itâs almost feels like a break in my gratitude to not leave such outstanding notes and remarks about this product. I found this product when I was first looking to try matcha as a replacement for coffee. This brand looked promising but I came from a background of only having Starbucks Matcha which I think I pretty tasty and good in a pinch for reference. Iâve had a few local latte shops that range from grass water to Heaven. So I feel like I have a solid understanding of the flavors Iâm looking for. When I first tried this product I thought it was really good! I tried a few different recipes from overly sweet to too watery. This Matcha is fantastic with a generous dose of shifted matcha, 177f water, and a small amount of a good plant based frothed cream- I used sweet cream by Chobani. When I ran out of my first jar I picked up a different brand of ceremonial grade at my local supermarket for about $15. The difference is extremely dramatic and noticeable. This matcha has an unparalleled sweetness, brightness, and clean green flavor as opposed to the one I tried. For an extra 4$ the quality exemplifies what a great start your morning can be too. The focus is fabulous and no crashes. I no longer rely on coffee. I drink matcha lattes, an regular teas. Coffee has now become something that can be a really special treat and experience. I would highly recommend this product and Iâm even considering buying the Larger bulk bag. Thank you team!

Alright
Itâs alright. Not the worst matcha, but definitely had some texture issues. I do use a milk frother and have not tried with a sift, so maybe itâs my own fault. Will update once I try with my new sifter.
