I’ve used Mio for years no problems and excellent images when required. My last unit saved me my no claims and excess when a foreign insurance company denied responsibility for their drivers actions.

I like the compactness and suitable size that does not obstruct the driver’s view. The recording quality is fine, but it could be better. Do not expect to see a clear record of the plate number everywhere. The angle (width) of the image capture is good. The model is entry-level and, of course, quite old. Interestingly, the image is much better on the even older version of the MiVue 508. Camera works fine for now. I also like the fact that the camera does not have a built-in battery but a capacitor. The fit to the windshield is good – it doesn’t fall off. I use it on Peugeot 3008.
