Smoked itself in less than a month – Customer Service saved the day!
Update:Customer service reached out to us and quickly got us a replacement. My son was overjoyed when it arrived and he could build and fly again. Thank you to the seller for making our day!—–Bought this for my son. He was having a great time flying it after he got it for Christmas.Unfortunately, just short of a month later, he started yelling that his drone was smoking. I came into the room to a horrible burned electronics smell and my son desperately trying to get the battery off as I had told him to do if there was ever an issue with the drone not shutting off or having other issues. He quickly handed it to me and I had to exert a significant amount of force as the controller module had melted itself to one of the battery retention studs. Fortunately, I got the battery off. Now we just need to deal with the horrible stink. Hopefully the other drone we got for his brother will not suffer the same fate. For the price and the fire risk, I would recommend you look elsewhere.

Fun little drone(s)
This drone is fun not only to build but also to fly!The ability to put together several models of this drone is a really good idea, and sets it apart from many others on the market. The included assembly instruction manual is also very helpful and makes the build quick and easy. Besides, one can mix and match parts from the different models to make one’s own unique drone creations! This drone packs some very good features for beginners, including one-button takeoff and landing, 360-degree flips, trimming, and emergency shutoff. For its price tag, this is a very nice beginner drone with some very nice features!

Burning smell.
I ordered three kits for our CTE class and, one by one, all three battery connectors smelled like burning plastic, two of them actually melted where the battery connects. Now the drones are malfuntioning and not useable.

great for kids
a lego drone which you can piece together and make strange drones. Of course my nephews mixed the colors and made all kinds of drones that were too heavy lol, but they enjoyed playing with all the different parts. When you do build one of their drones, i think theres 5 types based on the colors, the propellers snap on and have bumper guards which is nice. the battery is pretty small, so it doesn’t last that long, but it’s easy to usb charge. The flight is very stable and easy for kids to learn, which is great.

Great Drone! Flys High
We purchased the drone for a boys science project. They loved it. It was easy to understand how to put together however the remote was abit tricky for them.

Great for kids
I bought this to use in a science fair project for my kids. It’s easy to build, easy to use, durable, and they loved it. Definitely with the purchase. The only tricky thing was getting it to take off again after a crash. We learned pretty early on that if you hit the emergency stop you have to fully reset it, like turn the robot off, turn the remote off and turn everything back on to get it to work. But all and all it’s been great.

Fun to build and to fly!
When I saw this model drone I knew it would be a perfect gift for my grandson. He loves playing with Legos and this kit comes with four drones to assemble and one preassembled that are similar to Legos. We both enjoyed being able to assemble and then really fly the drone. They are quite easy to fly and have three speeds to choose from. The set comes well packaged and includes a plastic storage case to nicely keep all of the parts in. Perfect gift for my grandson!

Essential to calibrate before flying – works reasonably well
I’ve always had a fascination with flying machines, and if something like this had been available when I was a small boy, it would have blown my little mind. So the fact that it flies earns it a few stars right off the bat. Here are the pros:- When you figure out how to fly the thing, it works reasonably well. There is a lot of drifting about, but you can learn to control that by adjusting the trim.- It gives you plenty of warning when the battery is about to die, unlike other drones and helicopters I’ve tried. The battery lasts about as long as you’d expect, giving you several minutes of flying time.- It comes with some spare parts, such as extra blades and wires- It’s pretty durable. I crashed it a few times, and it’s fineHere are the cons:- Unless calibrated, the drone is impossible to control. You have no idea which side is the front, and it immediately takes off in random directions, crashing into objects and knocking things off shelves.- Don’t follow the instructions step-by-step, or you’ll end up in trouble. The most important thing you need to do right away is step 9.2 – calibrating the gyro. Once you do that, and once you figure out which way the drone is pointed, life gets easier. You can make slight reconfigurations to the underside of the drone using the colored bricks provided, but I didn’t really see the appeal of that.As fun as this is to fly, I would say that after a short while, it can get a little boring. There is no camera onboard, and while there is some satisfaction in flying it around indoors, I personally have got more enjoyment from the mini helicopter designs. First of all, they look like helicopters, and so there’s a bit more satisfaction in honing your piloting skills, mastering the ability to land on different structures and navigating around tricky obstacles.Overall, I would give it a somewhat positive review, provided you are careful to calibrate the thing before setting it loose.
