Much improved over my Mini3Pro sun hood. Additional shade on the top, felt pads hold the screen secure when folded. Very happy with this. Comes with two screws to secure to back of RC2. An Allen key to adjust the hinges if necessary. No restriction to the aerials internal or external. Allows the sticks to remain connected. Fits into the standard flymore bag.

Protection and practicality!

As a shade of the DJI RC2 this does… OK.Good things:It is built out of light but durable plastic, it undoubtedly does protect the sticks (and means you never have to unscrew / store / lose them) and in use it does not obstruct either the aerials or the stick movements when open to roughly its intended angle range of 70-100 degrees or so. The extra flap is solidly attached to on a firm hinge.Bad things:Attachment to the base is solid at the screw end (screws provided) but rubbish at the topby the little protruding lip where it meets the controller, which isn’t attached there, or well made enough to snap on to it, and therefore flaps about, stressing that part whenever you move the lid. It is also exceptionally difficult and unintuitive to grip and open from the closed position ! Neither of these things matter too much, and you get used to finding the right way to handle it to minimize those problems.What might be its achilles heel however, is in its actual effective use as a sun shield, which I have found to be nebulous at best, and fictional at worst – it just doesn’t really help ! Open at a typical 70 degrees only the top 20% of the screen is shielded, there is no side extension so all the light just piles in from the sides anyway, and the front flap does little to nothing to help this situation.Closing the sun visor further (45 degrees for example) shields MORE of the screen, but still not enough of it, and now the visor itself is blocking the view of the rest of it AND it is starting to interfere with stick input by touching your fingers when they are most forward.So, it does help a bit with getting the glare off your screen, but not anywhere as near as much as I’m sure it was intended to. It’s not badly built, but the design just isn’t great, and the benefits… meh.
