Good price, nice sweet flavor
I drink this matcha daily – I just whisk it with hot water and sometimes almond milk. I like this matcha because it’s a little sweeter than many I’ve tried. It almost tastes like it has sugar in it, but it does not. This is a nice big bag for the money, and it comes with a measuring scoop, which I really appreciate. It is slightly finer than other powders, but that’s no big deal. I will definitely buy this again when my big bag finally runs out, probably in a year or so!

This is a better quality matcha than what is used at Starbucks!
This product is better than the matcha powder mix used at Starbucks! Starbucks uses a 51% sugar mix with questionably sourced matcha/sencha making up the other 49%. It has no tea flavor as it’s basically just sweetened milk. If you’ve come to matcha through the Starbucks lens, this is NOT that product. It’s what you should be drinking instead! When I’ve tried to get matcha powder locally at the grocery store, I’ve not been able to find one that is the same quality as this in such a value size quantity. For size reference, I’m pretty sure this size bag could last one person 3mos even if they were drinking a matcha latte everyday. This matcha here packs a bolder flavor, a better boost of energy, and more mental clarity without the crash that you’d have from coffee. It is unsweetened, which gives you the freedom to make the final product (latte, smoothie, whatever) as sweet or unsweet as you like. The powder is ULTRA fine, and is about the consistency of powdered sugar. It dissolves wonderfully in a few ounces of the liquid of your choice (I prefer oatmilk), and it suspends very nicely and does not sink to the bottom when at rest for a few moments. All around highly recommend. Unless you’re Japanese and have had that real good stuff and would know the difference, this is probably good enough for most people.

Very good matcha
I have tried before Matcha teas that I bought directly from Japan and this one is up there with the best.Since is not written on the package or description that this is “ceremonial grade”, I was expecting a bit of bitterness or fishy flavor, but to my surprise there is none.I tried it even straight with just hot water and it tastes smooth, something that the majority of the Matcha teas do not, they always have a bit of bitter/weed flavor that makes them unpleasant to drink unless they are mixed with something.I had tried before their “culinary” grade Matcha and it was good but had all those flavor characteristic of most matcha, this version which is called “premium first harvest” is definitely better for just a small increase in price and much less pricey than other Matcha that are defined Ceremonial grade. Also, it mixes super well with water and lattes of various kind.

Nice matcha, but not as strong!
This Matcha certainly tastes fine, nice texture, but the caffeine is not as potent as other matchas. Iâd say the potency of caffeine feels like 1/2 the strength of other matchas Iâve tried and that is based on a serving of 3 teaspoons at a time. However, some people like that! If thatâs what you are looking for, then this matcha is a great choice! ðð»

What a pleasant surprise!!!
Frothed nicely. Good color, felt silky and smell was that of what Iâd expect from a top shelf matcha. I drink mine hot with a splash of cream. No sweetener. Smooth without a hint of bitterness and has a sweet finish. Been drinking matcha for about 2 years now and have had some nasty stuff. This matcha is good and the price point is off the hook. The matcha completely dissolved in cup and wasnât any left at bottom like some Iâve had. Buy it, itâs worth it.

Best Tasting Matcha, Huge Bag!
This bag is huge and I love that itâs organic. The matcha tastes amazing, slightly sweet but not too sweet. My favorite! I will definitely purchase again.

Metal content noticeable and visible
Despite the mixed reviews and the fact that it was not returnable, we ordered this powder anyway because it was organic and we were looking for a coffee alternative to perk us up in the mornings. When we opened this product, we saw that the powder stuck to the spoon like metal shavings that stick to a magnet. We thought maybe it was the movement during shipping and so we used it.After some uses, we saw the same issue every time we scooped it out. The powder would stick in a funny lattice shape like the way iron shavings stick to a magnet. It was not the normal way a powdered substance sticks to a scoop. We found the phenomenon so strange and so we researched matcha powder and apparently it can be high in metal toxicity if not grown in proper controlled soil. We would advise this company to ask their matcha source to test the levels of heavy metals in the soil where it is grown and to demonstrate soils are tested for heavy metals. Those seeking âcleanâ, organic products would undoubtedly value this extra step to ensure that what we are purchasing is safe for our bodies. We have thrown the whole 2 lb bag away now and will only be using matcha that is tested for heavy metals.
