Was surprised at how this has a taste that can stand on its own! I don’t like overly sweet beverages, but I also don’t like things that taste like chalk. This provides a great middle ground that can stand on its own, or combine well with another beverage.

Tastes good
I regularly drink a homemade matcha mocha in the mornings with matcha powder, cocoa powder, a tad bit of sugar, and powdered milk. I think it tastes amazing. I decided to try something new and change up my morning a little with this matcha mix. The powder is a deep green color similar to regular matcha, but is a little browner due to the added rice powder, Gemmai. And yes, you do notice the genmai. It adds a very slight burnt smell to the powder. But w really noticed it when I made up the mix. After looking up the directions, I decided to make it just like I make my morning matcha with this mix instead of matcha, powdered milk, and a tad bit of sugar, but skip the cocoa powder due to the added taste of the rice. The genmia adds a taste like slightly burnt or roasted rice. It is a little powerful, but surprisingly actually pretty good. It does seem to slightly overpower the matcha taste, but I really enjoyed it and the change has been fun. I have found the quality of different matcha powders can be very different and one should get a higher grade if using in tea. This bag didnât label the matcha quality, but it tasted good unlike some lower quality ones I have tried. If you want to give roasted rice a try this is a great tea to try.

Great matcha powder with clear and easy instructions and a recipe
I have not had much experience with green tea so was a little bit uncertain on how it would taste. The packaging for this is nice and lists recipe ideas and basic instructions on recommended usage.Mixing it was very easy. I tried it in a smoothie and it blended with no issue. The taste was pretty good and something that will grow on me the more I drink it. I appreciate that the matcha has health benefits so I will keep adding it to smoothies and recipes and enjoying it.I recommend this to someone looking for good matcha powder with easy to follow guidelines and recipe suggestions.

Such a unique flavor!
My boyfriend and I absolutely love this matcha! There is a prominent roasted rice flavor and it really takes matcha to a new level of flavorful. The matcha taste plus the roasted rice creates a nice blend of natural flavors, slightly sweet too depending on the milk you use. It tastes so great with honey too! I use a froth handheld blender to mix the stuff together and you can have it hot or cold. Iâve only ever had it cold but I bet the hot version would be just as great! I can already imagine the cozy picture of sitting in the living room, next to the window, wrapped in a blanket, and drinking this wonderful hot matcha.
