Customers say

Customers enjoy the tea’s taste, quality, and color. They find it has a beautiful green color without grayish tones. Many use it for baking and lattes. However, some find the can size too small and the value for money poor. Opinions differ on the texture.

    Taste
This is 1 of my favorite brands. Not to earthy tasting. The color of the powder is a nice shade green. It blends well.

    Great value!
I have been using this matcha for about 6 months now. I know they say culinary grade is not the best for lattes but i have been using it and i love my iced matchas! the can is very small though so i do have to restock frequently.

It’s good enough to have as lattes at home BUT
It is very small. Which I expected. For mine I use about a tsp and a half of matcha I like mine full of matcha flavor. Not just a hint. So this can in particular will probably only last me like 8 lattes at most. But it’s worth it in the price breakdown in comparison to me driving to go get a $7 matcha latte.

    Underfilled in my opinion.
It’s decent quality and worked for a few drinks. Packed in a bag inside the can, which empties into about half of the can’s volume.

    Can’t live without this stuff!
My favorite matcha powder! Stumbled across this brand a few years ago when I gave up coffee. All other matcha tastes like dirt to me now. This one has the right balance of bitterness and smoothness and is a vibrant green color. Like other reviews say, the can is small, and I’m definitely using twice the serving size of 2g (14 servings per can). Since I make one cup a day, I end up going through about 3–4 cans a month. Switched to the subscription delivery to save a little extra. Definitely the way to go to make it even more affordable! Less than $1/day habit, which is a small fraction of what I’d pay for an inferior version at my local coffee shop. Hot tip: I make a paste with the matcha powder and agave before adding water or milk and heating. Gets rid of the lumps really easily. A bamboo whisk is the traditional method but I found it hard to clean and never got all the lumps out.

I Like This Brand Best So Far
This was my second purchase of matcha on Amazon. The first brand i tried was Jade Leaf Organics 1 oz. in a pouch. I thought that the Jade Leaf brand smelled sort of fishy, like seaweed. It was also out of stock when i ran out, so I ordered this brand. Not only is Maeda-En less expesive on Prime (at time of writing this) but it tastes much better. I opened it and it smells like TEA, not like seaweed or fish. I made a cup of it with some warm cashew milk, agave, water and pumpkin pie spice (be sure to use an frother or special stir made for tea, a spoon wont break up lumps) and it tasted very good – much better than the other brand.I also like that it comes in a little can with a lid instead of a pouch. I am not sure if drinking it really helps with weight loss or energy, but i figure if its suppsed to equal 10 cups of regular green tea i will keep trying it for a while. I will keep ordering this brand instead as i feel it is much better tasting and the fact that it costs a little less is a bonus.

Arrived neatly packaged , without damage or defect. Taken surprise by the expiry date, as it left me just a little under a month to finish this. Typically, stocks from other brands and stores have at least 3 months. Take note.
