    Science is fun
I love science and as a science teacher I am always trying to show my kids science is a fun subject to learn. I have bought different STEM kits over the years and my view of being a good set of science educational kit is the experiment must be supported by an clear and easy to understand instructions and explanation, plus some background information. Of course the experiment needs to be interesting too.I always believe that in is important to let the kid know what they are looking for in the experiment and how is this relate to their life.Well this set is about water science – an important topic as water is an important compound in life. This kit has 24 hands-on kids STEM experiments and 25 lab tools. Topics such as pressure, density, absorption etc are introduced in these experiments. The fact-filled colourful lab and career guide has some simple scientific principles, pictures, and information. The information is simple fact, but if your kid is eager to learn more, then I think it is better if they can carry out the experiment with adult, that elaboration or addition of knowledge can be given. So I would say it is a good set of lab kit for kids, but better with support from parents/adult, especially for younger kids.

An Educational Set That Requires Teaching… But It Can Be Good Fun If You Make It That Way
I got this for my young kids to do over the summer holidays, hoping that they could get stuck into it on their own. No such luck I’m afraid and this kit will require an adult to supervise as well as effectively teach. The kit comes with a number of elements needed for the included experiments but by no means everything. As a parent I recommend pre-opening this kit and having a read through of the booklet containing the experiments, making a note of which pages you could do… before giving it to the kids. For example I don’t have any white carnations lying about! (No joke!)With me now playing teacher, the experiments we did were actually great fun as they learned about surface tension (pepper and paperclips on the water’s surface) as well as keeping things dry in trapped air when submerged. This then grew into a “submarine” experiment with their Polly Pocket dolls as we attempted to keep them dry when diving to the bottom of the “sea” (a big bowl of water). The look of amazement when they finally cracked how to do it with the upturned beaker was great. As a parent, it did feel like I had stepped back a bit into the lockdown days of teaching from home, and it certainly wasn’t the escape from the summer holiday madness I was hoping it might have been. However, it was worth it when Polly & her friend emerged safe and dry from her beaker submarine! So this is a good set, that requires teaching and further supplies that you may not necessarily have in the house (for some of the experiments), but my kids thoroughly enjoyed it and hopefully learned a thing or to.

Lots of fun and masses of educational value!
I did this with my enthusiastic 11-year-old who adored it. So many experiments in here and she particularly liked the hydraulic lift experiment and the one (with the video here) which was the colour explosion. The booklet is great and talks you through all the different experiments you can do. I would recommend that you go through them in order though because some require the tubing (included as one piece) to be in one piece and the later ones require you to cut it in half. It’s a bit hard once you’ve cut it in half to go back and do the earlier experiments when you need it in one piece!Everything you need is included except I would also recommend that you have an absorbent cloth or tea towel to hand.As a teacher, I definitely see the educational value as it links into lots of the work the children do in, not only primary but also secondary. It’s well explained in the booklet and some concepts are easy to explain following an experiment, such as surface tension and water levels etc. It’s overall good quality and delivered on all expectations. Great afternoon of fun! I definitely recommend this.

    Wasn’t overly impressed.
Unfortunately wasn’t impressed with this science kit. Instructions were near impossible to follow and the kit overall felt a bit cheap.. especially since its currently priced at 22.99Tried a few of the experiments with my son and the blandness didn’t hold his attention for very long. Took too long for me to understand what to do.Suitable more for older children than younger ones.Alot if the experiments could be done with cupboard items at a fraction of the cost. Can’t say I’ll be recommending.Only positive was it was nicely packaged and presentation looked good.

24 experiments to follow, good for summer
There are 24 experiments in this set, younger kids will need some help but older kids should be able to complete on their own. It’s given full step by step instructions which is not hard to follow, all the required materials are included. Kids are having fun and it’s a good past time during summer.

    Excellent education and fun…outdoors
This water science kit is great fun for kids and less fun for adults 😆. In the darling children’s uncontainable excitement at using this kit, they used too much force for one of the experiments which resulted in most of my kitchen being splattered in green dye ……and for that reason I’m out 🤣! Seriously though, this is a great educational kit with lots of different experiment options but best played with outside wearing old clothes, which I’m sure is what any sensible parent would do in the first place!

No me gusto para mi Nieto, tiene que estar un adulto con el Niño porque solo es complicado!

My 5 year old daughter loves doing her own science experiments. I thought she would like a kit to try some more “advanced” options. She and my 7 year old have enjoyed trying these simple experiments. I do need to help a little, but the box does state that it is for 8 and older, so I expected that. Overall, this is a fairly cool kit that some of the pieces can be used for her own experiments when we’re done.

I have one of those smart (but not a genius) kid. So it’s really difficult to know what’s going to educate him, but entertain him enough to cause him to put down the tablet. This did a decent job. Some of the experiments seemed simplistic (i.e.: dying flowers -which we did when he was 5) but others seemed complicated & made me scratch my head. But I loved reading the info (I’m a bit of a geek). The only thing I don’t like about the kit is that not everything is included in the kit. Some of the more complicated tasks requires the use of kitchen items (large bowls, etc). It makes sense, most of those items with make the kit too big & expensive. I just wasn’t expecting it (I read the whole book before giving it to my kid). The language is simplistic enough that a strong reader can do it alone. My kid is developing his reading skills (he’s younger than the intended age) so he requires a lot of supervision to use this kit.

I received this product at no cost in exchange for my honest opinion on the product.I really liked this product for my 8 year old. He is always trying to conduct experiments on his own. I love how it gives simple, but detailed enough instructions that he is able to do most of them alone or with a little assistance from me. It is also neat that it gives facts and more information about the science behind the experiments and how they apply to real life. Many of the experiments are also repeatable, which is awesome since my younger kids want to participate as well, with more adult help.If you do need additional supplies or refills, that are not included in the kit, they are easy to find in the house already i.e. scissors, a plate, tape, bowl, water….I would highly recommend this for a budding young scientist.

It is a science kit and not much of a chemistry kit. It is a good way to introduce curious kids to science. The kit is not complete and extra items found around the house are needed to complete experiments. I think that is a good thing as kids learn where those items are in the house and also get parents involved.I wish the booklet was printed on more study paper as it gets torn when it gets wet … well, you know, kids.It would have helped to have PDF manual online.I expected more pizzazz from experiments. Some were pretty boring and I would imagine kids without much curiosity might not get that interested.Overall a sneaky way to introduce science.
