I have seen a few videos of people jump starting a car directly from an 18v, 2AH battery, not something I would fancy doing but it does work. This adapter makes the process a whole lot safer. The dewalt battery fit easily and securely into the adapter; the crocodile clips are nice and strong and the cables are just about long enough to do the job. The cables themselves are nice and flexible and seem thick enough for the job, too heavy duty and there will be too much resistance, I think these have a nice balance. The whole unit is neat and lightweight. I carry a Dewalt tyre compressor in the car so this can be added to the bag for emergencies, hopefully I will never need it but its good to know I have the potential to start my car even if there is no one to help with a jump start. At time of review it was £35.
