Excellent Value Nuclear Sub!
This is a great kit, loads of detail nice tight fitting blocks. Clear instructions and no pieces missing. It even has 2 lights which are ok but won’tlast very long. Highly recommended. I have added extra lights, which makes the model stand out.

Great model
This was a great build. It took my 9 yr old two full days of building with barely a break to eat or sleep. The house was so peaceful. Minimal adult help was needed.I was very grateful for the review here which suggested super-gluing some of the pieces. The torpedoes definitely need to be stuck down and a couple of other bits that fly off regularly.

Excellent brick building experience
This is the first time I’ve tried JMBricklayer. This kit is brilliant. The look and feel of the bricks and how they go together is perfect. The illustrated manual is good with each stage clearly shown. I would highly recommend this kit for any builders wishing a different “military type” build and in my opinion the kit is certainly worth more than the price charged. I enjoyed this kit that much that I’m looking to order another type of kit from the same company !!

My husband works on decommissioning nuclear subs so was relay happy with my purchase he says it is really great but had to glue some pieces in as they would stay in place but loved it

I have to admit that I was a little skeptical of a brand that i have not previously heard of, but I really liked the idea of building a submarine. This model did not disappoint. I don’t think I would hesitate to buy another JMBricklayer model after my experience with this one. I think I was missing one piece, but it was a very common color and size, and had plenty of extra pieces from other kits that I have put together.This was challenging, and I did find myself going back looking at prior steps to see if I had misplaced a piece somewhere, and I think I found that I had quite a few times. The instructions are more dense that the name brand (not sure if I can say the name here) but if you take you time, and think about what you are doing, you shouldn’t have any problems.Overall a great build. I would estimate that it took me about 18-20 hours over the course of a month. I was doing other things while building the sub, so I could probably have completed it a little quicker if I was only working on it.I would post a picture, but it would just look like every one else’s. I didn’t really have a problem with blocks sticking together. The first get levels may be a bit challenging because you end up with something that’s almost 24″ long and it’s like 3 to 4 layers thick and very “flexible”. It may have to build the base stands first (the brownish-red pieces) to support the lower layers when starting out, because once you add the tail, near the beginning, it does cause some flexing while the model is at rest.Key takeaways: take your time and don’t be in a hurry. Have fun.

My 10 year old put this together all by himself and all the pieces fit together perfectly! The directions were great and for the price, this thing is amazing!!! It is HUGE!

I bought this for my son and he enjoyed putting it together. Removable panels reveal a detailed interior with lots of compartments. Even has working lights in the reactor room and on the conning tower.The instructions were fairly easy to follow too with good pictures.The only issue we had was a damaged piece, but the company’s customer service was great. They sent us out a new piece within a week.Recommended.
