Versatile and useful magnetic tripod mount
This is a review of the JJC Magnetic Phone Tripod Mount Holder with Cold Shoe and 1/4″ Screw. At the time of posting this review this product was priced at £12.99. It is supplied with a metal ring and instructions to use with non-MagSafe phones and cases.I have used JJC photographic kit for a long time and have always found them to be good quality and well made. I have been using this with my Pixel 8 Pro phone which, with a MagSafe case, weighs 266g which is quite heavy for a mobile phone. This magnetic tripod mount holds the phone very securely.I like that the sections can be individually angled to get position the phone at exactly the right height and angle required.The product is constructed of 4 pieces which from the top are, the magnetic rig, a long section, a short section, and the cold shoe/tripod connector. The sections are joined together by 3 thumb screws which make removing sections nice and easy.I like that I can remove the cold shoe section or just the magnetic ring to use on an action camera mount. This is a very versatile magnetic phone tripod mount that I am happy to recommend.

All plastic phone hotshoe mount
While I like the concept of this item its not without its flaws.The magnet holding ability is quite strong and I didnt struggle with any slippage. The adjustment is easy however the screw mechinism for this can be a little fiddly as the screws are a little on the side of small.The other issue I have is that this is almost entirely plastic which tends to fatigue through use / exposure to UV light. With heavy phones as well it does require tightening the screws quite a bit, again this much pressure over time is likely to lead to cracking of the materials. With lighter items however such as action cams this would be less of a concern.

Lightweight and very adjustable magsafe compatible cold shoe phone mount
I have a similar mount already but for accessories like this I like to have a backup, especially when it’s one that’s hanging off the camera and is at risk of breaking.I have several JJC accessories already and I’ve always been happy with the quality. Same goes here, this is a very well made phone mount with multiple adjustment points, a strong magnet, and included magsafe adhesive attachments if your phone lacks them. In my case I have a case for my S22 Ultra that has the little magsafe the built in.Being almopst 100% plastic except for the magnet part, this is very lightweight which can come as a blessing if you’re carrying a heavy rig.The adjustable nobs are easy to manipulate and tighten very well to ensure the arm doesn’t move about. The clamp to lock the mount to the cold shoe can be tightened and loosened easily giving me confidence the phone is going to stay where I’ve angled it.

A mini mount that connects to Camera’s Cold Shoe as well as to any tripod – small or large or flexible.I use it to put my Android Phone on my Camera to use as an external display and recording device without having to always use the full camera rig system. I can plug the Small HDMI of Camera into the USBc of phone and view on larger screen. My phone also has more storage: 1Tb internal and added 1Tb microSDXC so can video hours in 4k.This mounting unit can be positioned at any angle to can be tilted when in bright sunlight.For Android phones without the magnetic ring to attach, the peel and stick metal ring makes it stick to the ring firm and secure.

Your flexible friend in a sense!
This is quite a nice well made accessory that is compact but does the job as intended. The JJC magnetic phone tripod mount holder plus a combined cold shoe option with a standard 1/4″ screw thread that is suitable as featured in the list of specified devices. The magnet is quite strong plus comes with a self-adhesive backed âringâ the same size to attach to your device should it not be metal cased, plus there are some paper alignment aids marked in degrees to help center your device if required – see photos. The flexible arm is well articulated, goes into any angle or set position and once found, itâs easy to tighten the adjusters to lock it in place. In use it works well as once secured to my camera hotshoe, it was easy to adjust to the right angle and a joy to see a bigger image on the screen rather than just the tiny cameraâs own. When not in use it folds up into a neat bundle and perhaps if anything, a carry/storage bag would have been a nice addition but never mind, it works as it should!

Strong holding magnetic mount and brackets
This is a clever and well designed magnetic IPhone stand for fitting to a suitable camera flash shoe socket or camera threaded screw as used on many tripods and selfie sticks.. The three articulated joints are easy to tighten with one hand while supporting the weight of the iPhone. The magnetic connection to my iPhone 15 was excellent. I was able to give the whole apparatus with iPhone attached a good shake and nothing moved. Looks to be made with a quality impact resistant plastic. This is great addition to my photographic equipment.I note that it came with a self adhesive ring for sticking onto an incompatible device, but I have not used that.

Super strong magnet grip, Shoe and 1/4″ screw mount. Multi adjust phone holder magsafe
This is made from plastic, even the shoe mount though the 1/4″ screw mount inside the middle of the shoe is metal. It comes with a tighetning ring to secure it to these centrally/perpendicular.The arms all adjust and with the small but usable screw knobs it stays put once tightentend, and the magnet is nice and strong, butter than others I have stried so your phone stays put.Ideal for mounting your phone to a tripod with the 1/4″ i would say rather than the plastic cold shoe – but good to have the option.Its not too heavy and fold up pretty compactly to put in a pocket.Can be used as a short selfie stick to. Perhaps a bit pricey for £13 (Feb ’25) but seems well enough made so value isn’t terrible imo.

Fast schon langweilig, aber ich habe tatsächlich nichts zu meckern. Der ganze Arm ist stabil gebaut, lässt sich einfach auseinanderbauen und der Magnet hält das iPhone 13 Pro Max im Outdoorcase einwandfrei. Ich mecker ja gerne mal etwas herum aber hier? Preislich in der 25 Euro angesiedelt passt das qualitativ alles super zusammen. Tja, was will ich denn mehr? Klingt langweilig, aber ich kann hier einfach nicht meckern.
