Good fun for brave cats
Don’t get this assuming that you can leave your cat alone with it. No cat should ever be left entirely unsupervised to play with toys. However, this is quite good fun if you have a bold enough cat.I have 3 cats and 1 of them was really scared of it and ran outside into the garden to get away from it because it careered towards him at speed. 1 other was curious but stayed high up on the sofa and didn’t want to be on the floor near it.The boldest cat (a bit of a hunter) LOVES it! He chirps and meows at it, chasing it around and attacking it. It moves quite randomly, spinning around sometimes moving forwards, sometimes round in a circle then the toy part with the attachment will swing up into the air and then down on to the floor.When it hits an obstacle it either heads straight off into the other direction or does a bit of a spin and then goes off. You want to supervise to ensure it isn’t hitting any furniture or getting tangled on things, or speeding towards your cat too often as it can scare them and they won’t want to play with it any more.The rubbery surface of the base does pick up a lot of dirt and dust on our floorboards, but it’s easily wiped off.The novelty may wear off but for now my bravest cat is enjoying it, and likes all the different attachments (ribbon and ball being his favourite as it seems to exaggerate the toy’s movements more).

Too Fast and Whippy
We have two rag dolls, ones a fierceness, well-seasoned rescue, the other a kitten. Both have had some time with this toy. It’s not quite as popular as some of the other automated toys they have. I can but this down to two reasons:• Th first is that it tumbles about bumping into things which in itself is fine, though its quite tough and can be forceful, which can spook the cats as it tumbles over their tails, or, over their paws. Its not very light, it’s quite unwielding.• The second is that, it is simply to fast! It spins the feathery toy on the top of the rod at an utterly high speed.There is a choice of three rods to choose from. All quite different. One is a flexible curvy rod, the other other a LED fiberoptic rod, which lights up; and the third a long thin one.Due to the speed it spins, it operates more like a whip than an alluring toy and as such, it might actually hurt the cats, especially as there is a little metal bell on the end of some of the toys.Im actually worried about the integrity of my skirtings as this toy wields around like a bull in a china shop, let alone how it may affect the cats.3 stars

Keeps the cat entertained for hours
Few pleasures are more delightful than watching a cat entranced by an unpredictable ball, and this interactive toy truly keeps our feline friend entertained.It’s quite clever, offering a variety of motion modes that keep our tabby lively and amused. The automatic obstacle avoidance feature is a great help, meaning I no longer have to strain my knees reaching under furniture.While the materials feel sturdy, I did anticipate the battery lasting a bit longer. However, the quick recharge is a helpful compensation. I particularly value its smart standby function – it’s as if the toy has a mind of its own, always ready when my playful furball decides it’s time to spring into action. If you’ve ever watched a cat joyfully chasing after something, you’ll appreciate the design.It’s a great companion for when I’m immersed in project work, though I do wish it wasn’t quite so appealing to occasionally catch the unsuspecting human toe!
