I’ve been a health & safety rep for a number of years, so ensuring that I have the right equipment at home within my first aid kit has always been a given, just like at work. This eye wash kit is really useful for irrigation in the event of injury or eye irritation. It’s one of those kits you don’t really know you need until you do. This comes in the standard blue package, which is wall mountable via a bracket, or you can have it free standing, and clearly marked with what it is. In the box you get 2x 500ml, 2x 20ml sterile fluids for irrigation and 2x eye bandages. To note, like fire blankets and first aid kits, the contents do have a shelf life and will need replacing at the end of it. For the, probably overcautious me, this is an essential piece of emergency kit to have not just in the workplace but also at home.

Handy to have at home or work!
This set is something I never gave too much thought about however I do suffer from a eye condition and Iâm not supposed to rub my eyes so if I were to get something in them this will be a perfect way to be able to wash the impurities out without having to rub my eyes. Iâm impressed at the way it arrived and is packaged in that it comes in a plastic case like you would see if it was a first aid kit in and inside is 2 x 500ml of saline solution 2 eye pad bandages, 2 eye washes. The instructions come on the actual bottles which I read as it sounds daft but if something happened I wouldnât be able to read the instructions if I were home by myself but the process is very easy to follow. This is a great kit for us at home whether itâs for me or another family member, considering what this and what it does i believe its very good value for money.

***Update*** I just wanted to say that although I got this kit over a year ago, I had cause to use it today after cross contaminating my eye with a chemical product. Let me tell you, this was an invaluable tool to have on hand, which allowed me to act swifly and safely rinse it out. So although there minor issues, such as not having an eye bath, I believe this just saved me a trip to hospital. Knowing I could reach for this in an emergency was very reassuring. Thank you! ðI’m so pleased with this eye wash set. It comes in its own case and is a perfect addition to our first aid kit at home. I have had two instances whereby I have experienced splash backs of household cleaning products and have had to lean over the bath with the shower head. Not ideal! This kit contains 2 large 500ml bottles of saline and 2 small 20ml bottles. Also included are eye pads. However, missing from the box are instructions and an eye bath, both of which are important components when irrigating the eye. The box is bright, clearly labelled and able to be fitted to the wall. It meets Health and safety standards, so can be placed in a work place setting as well as a domestic setting. I would purchase this item again, but would like to see instructions and eye baths added to complete the set. otherwise, I would recommend that every home adds this to their first aid kit.
