Lack of instructions
Wanted to use it with my iPhone and the cars Bluetooth but a real job to get it to bind. Maybe easier with Android system but at one stage I just wanted to give up and return it to Amazon I was getting so frustrated but I kept at it and it finally linked to the iPhone and Tom Tom but would not play via car radio.

I’ve literally just bought this and set it up in my 2015 Kia Sportage as it didn’t have a built in screen.It connected immediately via Bluetooth and I had music and navigation set up in no time at all, very easy indeed.I’ve given in 4 stars for now as I haven’t really used it – just set it up, but if it works as it should and I explore its functions more fully, I’ll probably up it to a 5 star review. For under £50, you can’t go wrong really.

stopped working
bought in September 2023. worked perfectly fine until Saturday evening march 2024.using as satnav via my phone, on the way home, screen went black & wont turn back on, all 12v power outlets in car work fine.should still be in warranty, but can’t seem to return it.

good as a media player…
Sadly, although this product is good as a media player it is only that. One can connect to one’s phone or use a SD card to broadcast one’s favourite music and this can take calls.The downside of this is that should one want to mirror one’s phone, to use mapping, then one has to download another App to one’s phone. Additionally, should one want to use mapping then it also means more faffing about.There are similar products available that do have mapping pre-installed but one does have to pay a lot more for those products. However, I feel it is worth the extra to have everything one needs on the console and only need the phone for playing music and taking / receiving calls, with the mapping tools on the console.This product comes with a good mount so one can place it where it is most convenient without causing distractions. Although it is touchscreen the law is quite strict today in that one can lose his / her driving license simply for touching a screen. Even when using mapping (SatNAv) the law is strict in that one can set the navigation before driving but once the vehicle is moving one is not allowed to touch or even look at the screen and only rely on the voice instructions. Touching any type of screen, even when stationary at traffic lights is now a prosecutable offense. So, using this product, even just for playing music, one is only allowed to connect to a phone whilst stationary and select a long playlist so the music can last as long as a journey is. The only way to avoid the current Road Traffic Acts is to have a passenger so he / she can control this product.Having a radio, a CD Player even one of these products is a little outdated when most modern vehicles came with an entertainment system, including navigation, installed as a standard feature. So, this is good for older cars and for those that only make short or regular trips but not so good for those that need a navigation system.Installing is as easy as plugging the power lead into the cigar lighter socket and plugging a lead into the speakers. It is that easy. However, it is fine for those with the standard two speakers at the rear systems but not good for those that have a modern audio system that includes powerful woofers as this simply won’t have the power to use the system to it’s full potential. Modern audio systems would require a hard wired entertainment unit so there is enough energy for the powerful speakers.The touchscreen is of a good standard and is responsive, it is also clear so that is a positive but that is all that I can see as being positive unless one has an older vehicle that either has no audio system or only has a basic one.Now for the hard part, can I recommend this product? Well that is a very mixed bag but overall I can recommend it for those that don’t need navigation and have an older vehicle that either doesn’t have any entertainment system or has a very basic one but I can’t recommend it for those that want an independent system that includes navigation and doesn’t require one to add yet another App to one’s phone. If you are on a very tight budget then go for it but if not spend a bit more and get a full system that has eveything including an independent navigation system.

When I connect it to aux, the vouce noise is too high. Tried another aux cable, same issue

Kurz vorab, bevor ich mich für dieses Produkt entschieden habe, hatte ich mir noch andere Alternativen angeschaut und verglichen und mich am Ende für dieses Entschieden.Allem in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden und kann es jedem empfehlen, der eine einfach Art sucht, Google Maps oder ähnliche in das ältere Auto zu integrieren. Gerade das man Maps und bpsw. parallel Spotify steuern kann ist sehr praktisch und man muss das Telefon überhaupt nicht mehr in die Hand nehmen.DisplayDie Displayqualität ist gut (bspw. verglichen mit anderen Modellen die nur die Hälfte kosten, die bei nicht frontaler Blickrichtung sofort matt und farblos werden). Schön wäre es gewesen, wenn der Bildschirm Multi-Touch hätte, sodass man wie am Handy reinzommen kann, gerade bei Maps praktisch. So bleibt hier nur der +/- Button.VerbindungDie Verbindung via Bluetooth und Android Auto geht wunderbar und ist stabil. Strom bekommt der Bildschirm über USB-C. Wenn man also noch einen USB Anschluss im Auto frei hat, kann man es auch darüber betreiben und sich den 12V Adapter sparen (ein Handyladegrät ging bei mir problemlos als Stromquelle).WertigkeitDas Gerät an sich macht einen sehr wertigen EindruckTonDer Ton ist bei der eingebauten Lautsprechernutzung okay, so wie man es gewohnt ist. Ist ja leider auch nicht viel Platz für gute Boxen. Die Verbindung über AUX oder über den Radio-Transmitter funktionieren tadellos. Bei AUX ist aber die Qualität deutlich besser. Schön wäre es gewesen, wenn auch ein Bluetooth Transmitter verbaut wäre, so dass man den Ton vom Gerät per Bluetooth an das Radio schicken kann (= weniger Kabel und besserer Ton). Das gibt es bei teureren Geräten.Die Freisprechfunktion geht okay, aber meine Gegenüber meinten, man wäre nicht so gut zu verstehen. Ein Anschluss für ein externes Mikro wäre noch schön gewesen, statt nur vorne im Display.FunktionenMan kann auch ganz normal ohne Android Auto über Bluetooth Musik hören oder auch Videos abspielen. Das hab ich aber bisher nicht getestet.Was man wissen muss, wenn man Android Auto nutzt, dann werden sämtliche anderen Bluetooth Verbindungen des Handy in dieser Zeit unterdrückt. Einfach weiterhin mit dem Headset telefonieren oder Ton vom Handy auf das Radio streamen geht so direkt erstmal nicht. Das wusste ich vorher nicht, wäre bei Apple Car Play auch anders, finde ich störend, hat aber nichts mit dem Display zu tun.
