Beautiful building
First off these are mini bricks and can be a bit of a challenge for fingers. No pieces were missing, if you were missing a piece it means you put it in the wrong place. There are extra pieces which is nice. Directions are clear and concise. Assembly can be a little challenging again just because the pieces are smaller and you may need tweezers or needle nose pliers. But the quality of the bricks are good, everything fit together very nicely. I find these smaller brick projects challenging but fun. And I love the end result. I choose these buildings for their look and the value for the money.

Love the finished product! But missing pieces, defective pieces, colors difficult to see
The end result is a 10/10. I love it! The details are so much fun, down to the books on the bookcase, the cash register, and the flower shops. This is a delightful little world to add to your displays of built kits. The lighting kit was a pleasant surprise. Each piece turns off or on with a twist. I think you would eventually have to replace the lights (they each have their own battery apparently) but it really does make the kit look nice. It was a relief not to have to deal with wiring and battery packs. The instructions are good for the most part, but there is a problem that cost me significant time – the blocks that form the brick sections are bright orange, light brown, and reddish brown. The blocks themselves are easy to distinguish. But for whatever reason, these colors do not match the instructions. The bright orange is very muted and looks like the other two. This makes it very difficult to figure out which pieces to use. The instructions even warn about this and include some sample tiles, but it would have made more since to use better colors in the printed instruction book. I had to undo and rebuild several sections once I realized I’d made a mistake.A few of the pieces are flimsy, like the cart and the canopy. The little trees on the stoop are duds. The sticks for the trunk are not wide enough to keep the treetop from pushing down, or keep from pushing the trunk into the pot. I used some balled up tape (and may use plasti-tack eventually) to give the trunks something to stick into to make the trees look like trees instead of bushes. What was very frustrating was the missing and incorrect pieces. There are very few extra pieces. For example, I needed a white 2×1 block towards the end and realized there were none left. I found a clear 2×1, which was weird because the instructions do not call for any clear pieces. I put this on a less noticeable area but it was still annoying. Worse though is the bench. The bench handle requires a single piece with a U-shape that you use to attach the bench handle. Instead, I have 2 smaller pieces with a straight attachment – exactly what you could snap into the U-shape. They gave me the opposite of what I needed. There is no way that I can attach the bench handle without the correct part so my bench is just a 1-handled one. (I did NOT lose the parts. I work kits and puzzles at a dedicated table with a tile floor and constantly check my clothes and the floor for dropped pieces.)Some of the pieces are total duds and are too loose and won’t snap into place. Especially the decorative grates. These each wound up snapping in the middle when attached, not enough to break entirely but enough to make a discolored ridge. It took me a few hours of work over the course of weekends for about a month to complete the kit. I enjoyed it a lot at first but by the end was frustrated with the missing pieces. I’d recommend it anyway because of the price point and end result, but note this would not be for children unless supervised by an adult.

Awesome build lego compatible
Bought this for my son and it makes a great addition to his town. This is lego compatible. Not micro mini bricks. Thank goodness. I took a gambleBecause reviews said it was it was lego compatible but the description says micro bricks. So I wanted to let everyone know THIS IS LEGO Compatible NOT micro or mini.

It lights up!!!!!!
Yes, so I didn’t realize when I ordered it, that it would light up. And now I’m super excited. My wife is going to put it together, since it’s more her style of Lego, but it’s awesome looking and I might just have to buy more.

Could be packaged better
We’ve been working on this build an hour or so each night for a couple of nights. So far we haven’t finished the first level of three. What’s taking to Gen X Lego loving kids at heart so long? The packaging. Maybe Lego has spoiled us. But I’m not a fan of how this is packaged. With Lego you get a packet of blocks with a set of instructions. With this, you get a lot of packets to complete each of the three levels. Pieces are in random packages, and only sorted by the level of the structure they belong to.The instructions are great so far; they’re very detailed. The bricks hold together well.Get yourself quite a few bowls from the kitchen, then sort the packages even more than you would for a regular Lego build. After that, you should be OK. Just expect to spend more time hunting the right pieces.

Fun and challenging set – nice end result
I can’t really justify the name brand sets anymore as a set like this would be around $170 likely. These are pretty much every bit as fun to build and less than half the price. I enjoyed building this and it looks cute on my shelf. It took quite awhile. Unfortunatly I can only work on things like this a half hour here and there, so it took me a long time. I use ziploc bags and puzzle sorting trays so I don’t lose pieces in between times.Very slight overcount on small pieces. Like similar block sets, similar colors can be a struggle. Try to match the colors using unique pieces before you start. This one has a guide for the colors.
