Compression socks may reduce swelling but there are better & cheaper than these for sale on Amazon.
I am coping with swelling probably due to a weakness / failure in my lymph glands. What works (somewhat) for me may not work for you if your problem is due to a sprain or plantar fasciitis. I wear full length compression stockings with stronger ankle and foot compression socks like these over the top. These ones from eYotto are a good fit for my size 9 feet and their fabric is suitably sturdy. Sadly, they are not long enough in the leg. They don’t come up my legs as is shown on the photo. They therefore don’t sufficiently address the swelling in my ankles.Instead, I recommend the compression socks sold on Amazon by srclo. They currently cost £7.99, minus a 10% reduction if you order by 20th June. With them you have a choice of 3 colours and 4 sizes.NB. don’t make my mistake and try wearing your compression garments all night. This made my swelling much worse. If your feet are larger than my size 9s, or if your swelling is very bad, you may do better to go up a size. Disappointingly, srclo don’t offer Free Returns.I do also recommend Molsdon’s socks, very similar to srclo’s. but here L fit me. (There is a helpful size chart.) No washing instructions.
My daughter injured her ankle a while ago and still suffers pain so I thought these might help.Positives: Well made. Neutral colour. Has a shaped heel. 4 socks included. Firm support.Negatives: No information provided re materials used. No suggestions for how to put them on with minimum pain. No washing/drying instructions. A bit expensive.This is a useful item but, depending on your injury, it’s quite painful to put on. Getting the size right is essential, otherwise they either won’t work or will fit too tightly and be uncomfortable. Having 2 pairs of socks means that one pair can be washed whilst the other pair are being worn. I think £3.75 per sock is a bit expensive but that’s possibly because I have no idea what they’re made from. There is a silicone and rubber allergy warning on the packet though, as per the photo. I do think these are worth a try but not including material information and washing instructions are big omissions, which makes me wary of recommending them.
