Does the job
I have a cat that gobbles all the food straight away whenever I have to leave for a day. This automatic feeder prevents her from doing that and means I donât walk back through the front door amidst deafening cat screams of hunger or face a house trashed because the cat has plundered it looking for food. I refused to pay for an expensive one because I donât use it everyday and if I stop manually feeding my cat, it will have no further use for me as itâs bald monkey slave. This feeder is great, I can keep wet food fresh with the ice block and set the timers to release the goodies at intervals during the day. It is tried and tested and works reliably well, great value for money and even I can programme it easily. The only criticism I will make is that it seems you have to set the timer for over an hour in order for it to register.

Exactly what I needed
Easy to use, easy to clean, not noisy. The cat has used them without issue. The ice block to keep food fresh is a fab idea. Now have two, so going away for a night is a less worrying ordeal!

The clock time has 24hrs split into 30 mins around the clock so you turn the dial to how many minutes or hours you want the flap to open .
As itâs not digital you can be 100% accurate or know what time is left so will open around the time you wish give or take a few minutes.
I guess my only concern will be when the dog knows this has food in it could it kick the unit around ending up upside down and not open.

Works very well.
I had an electronic dual cat feeder which ended up being returned due to fault. This one is really good. As itâs more mechanical the release mechanism works well. It came with an ice block which fits perfectly under the trays and keeps the food fresh. Very easy to use, well built and looks good. Only slight issue I have is that one of the dials is stiffer than the other. Doesnât affect performance in the slightest.

Used consistently over 5 months, timer not too precise but worked well for my 2 cats if I know Iâm going to be out for a long time. Started to be less reliable but was replaced under warranty so very happy.

Fantastic and doesn’t take up much space
This is great! Easy to use and there’s a compartment underneath for an ice pack. It’s lightweight and easy to store.
Saved us getting a cat sitter to come by to feed him. We have a dry food smart feeder but it’s so big, we only use it if we are out all day. Whereas this is small but big enough for a sachet/tin of wet food and some dry food.

Great little device for its purpose. I got the single serving version. I donât hear it ticking nor does the door make a sound when it opens. Very easy to clean.
The timer is much like an egg timer dial and hours are noted with numbers on the 2 hour mark (2,4,6 etc), with simple lines noting the 1 hr marks so you can guesstimate.
If youâre looking for timed precision, this isnât for you. If kitty needs to eat in âaroundâ 4 hours, itâll open in around 4 hours (+/- a couple of minutes).
Canât say how long the battery will last. Iâve used it 4 times since I got it a week ago.
Offers pet owners extra time for longer days out of the house.

I really like this automatic feeder for when I’m just gone over night. I had a more complicated one before, but it was not at all user friendly, and so difficult to program that sometimes it wasn’t releasing food. This one works great. I thought it might be clunky because it is so low tech, but I couldn’t even hear it when it opened. Great for my cat!

This has been a lifesaver as my kitten loves to wake me at 5am every day for breakfast. Itâs quiet, there is a faint ticking noise but it doesnât make noise when it opens. I donât find there to be an issue with the timer, it seems to open on time. Also is durable, my kitten has tried her best to get it open and canât, however I did have to Velcro it to my floor as she kept flipping it around my room lol. But now itâs great.
