Absolute bargain. Very sturdy and great quality
Absolutely brilliant product. Very sturdy and great quality. My elderly Lab/Springer cross is getting unsteady on her legs and struggles to eat without falling over. This arrived today and already she is eating her food much easier and isn’t straining herself. Highly recommend

Worthwhile, but under-engineered, and I prefer alternative designs.
I am rating this four stars, because it works, and is of great benefit to any cat or dog. But in many cases, I think one of the moulded plastic ones might be a better buy.We have tried several of the latter type, and they were all very easy to assemble and use, durable and lightweight. This metal-framed version takes a little longer to put together, and I don’t think it offers many advantages.It is constructed from lightweight square steel tube, the mitred L-shaped ends being attached to three cross-pieces of the same material by screws into threaded inserts in the tube ends. The small screwdriver thoughtfully included is too small to fit these screws. A slotted or Phillips will be needed. There is nothing to stop the cross-pieces rotating, so they need to be aligned with the ends.A platform with two circular cutouts for the bowls is attached to one of three positions on the uprights to give a choice of heights. Two flat strip angle brackets are attached to the underside of the platform with self-tapping screws (the screwdriver fits these). The assembly is fixed to the frame with a single screw each side into threaded inserts in the uprights. The smallish shallow stainless steel bowls have a nice lick-friendly curved profile.It goes together well enough, but the design is basic. The MDF platform is the heaviest part, especially when the bowls are full, yet it cantilevers off the frame on springy and flimsy brackets. It would be easy to bend these if too much weight were put on the platform.I had hoped that the top rail of the frame would make the stand easier to pick up and move than the plastic stands. It does, but if a water bowl is present, its weight will tilt the stand and spill the water on your foot. It is possible to avoid this by grasping the upright in the same hand, but not convenient.The other putative advantage, longevity, may be illusory. The painted or powder-coated frame might chip or rust (it’s not fair to assume it will), and the woodgrain-faced MDF may or may not be water-resistant. Whereas I am pretty confident the polypropylene stands will last at least several years without any noticeable deterioration. One of these stands appears in some of the pictures for comparison.I hope I haven’t been to hard on this stand. Overall, it’s a good thing, and many owners and their pets will probably love it. For us, though, the plastic ones are neater, easier to adjust, and more robust.

Der Hundenapf ist hochwertig und stabil verarbeitet, einerseits die Konstruktion an sich, aber auch die herausnehmbaren Edelstahlschalen sind von guter und robuster Qualität.Ein wenig ungünstig finde ich dass man die Höhe nur mit Hilfe eines Schraubenziehers anpassen kann. Möchte man Hunde verschiedener GröÃen damit füttern, ist es umständlich.Trotzdem kann ich den erhöhten Napf weiterempfehlen!

I like the height of this feeder for my Belgian Shepherd. The only thing is that for large breed dogs, they may find the bowl sizes too small. So I am still using an old bowl for water, since I think that the bowls are too shallow for large breeds. I think maybe if I were to sand around the opening, it would be ideal for larger bowls too.It seems sturdy though and a nice height for medium sized breeds.
