Great Thermometer for everyone
I am really pleased with the Babydoc non-contact baby thermometer. It can be used not only for babies and children but also for adults. Another big plus is its speed, the measurements appear instantly in less than a second. This means I don’t have to struggle to keep my baby still while waiting for the thermometer to work. They can be very cranky when they are sick and have a fever. You can also measure your baby’s bath water and bathe them safely. I highly recommend this thermometer to every parent. It is fast, reliable and full of useful features that make life much easier.

Essential thermometer for the medical cabinet
This Babydoc medical grade baby thermometer is really easy to use and accurate. Using Infrared means there is no physical contact, ideal if measuring a babyâs or childâs temperature. I had been using oral digital thermometer for many years, and although fairly accurate it always took time to get a reading and required a good clean before use by anyone else. With this infrared thermometer it remains clean and the measurements are instant and consistently accurate, I did check it against an expensive wall mounted infrared forehead thermometer and the readings were almost identical.
The temperature reading can be shown in either degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. The green backlight makes the screen easy to read in any lighting condition. Also, the backlight acts as a visual indicator in that it will change to a red backlight if the temperature is high. The mode button allows the thermometer be switch between measuring the temperature of babies, bottles and bathtubs. Of course this is not just for babies, itâs ideal for anyone to use.
Overall, this is an excellent infrared thermometer with all the essential functions. Even though this is a very good quality and an accurate thermometer it is a little pricey, in my opinion. Good job it comes with two AAA Duracell batteries.

Reliable
Can’t fault this. A lot of thermometers are button batteries and run out so quick, button batteries is something most households don’t have either. This runs from normal batteries that last long and something we all have laying around. It seems accurate. Easy to use. Easy to read. Can’t fault it. Trustworthy and good value for money.

So Easy and Convenient
My only concern about buying one of these infrared thermometers was the issue of accuracy. When I got this, I compared the surface readings of objects with this against a liquid and a digital thermometer and got agreement to within 2F degrees. The forehead readings for this were consistently about one degree F lower than our traditional mercury, oral thermometer (yes we still have one left from 30 years ago and I know we should have it properly disposed of) and our oral digital thermometer.
I am sold on this. When my wife was recently sick and feverish, it was so easy to take her temperature. I even did it when she was sleeping without disturbing her by turning off the audible beeper.

Not accurate at all, do not buy
I bought one of these in preparation of my new born to be born. It’s not accurate at all, it set panic mode in when it told us out babies temperature was extremely high last night and caused a night in hospital! This told me his temperature was 39.7c
Once we arrived at hospital we were rushed into triage due to this… his temperature was 36.6c… they say this is medical grade! AVOID THIS ITEM, it caused more harm than good!!!

A game changer
At the time of this review the Babydoc thermometer is currently on a Black Friday deal for £23.96 which I feel is great value for money.
When you have children in the house you will inevitably find yourself reaching for thermometers more times than we care to remember. For years we used the old traditional manual ones that go under the tongue and are often difficult to get accurate readings from. Later we upgraded to digital device that gets placed against the head bother gave inconsistent readings with the later one giving wildly high readings.
Eventually once the Granddaughter came along we decided it was finally time to upgrade to a new thermometer.
It’s safe to say that this has been a absolute game changer, he advanced sensor has been flawless in use giving clear and accurate readings every time. Having the ability to take a reading without the need to press against the skin is perfect for toddlers and the simple colour changing traffic light system is great for quick analysis.
The device is simple and easy to use and includes batteries so you can use right out of the box.
I’m convinced every home should have one of these for the family.

Bien qu’il puisse y avoir une légère variation si vous effectuez plusieurs mesures consécutives en Rafales, les résultats restent généralement précis, surtout en comparaison avec les thermomètres classiques qui prennent deux minutes pour obtenir une lecture.
Lorsqu’il s’agit de mesurer la température d’objets, la précision est également au rendez-vous, surtout en comparaison avec d’autres thermomètres spécialisés dans ce domaine. Toutefois, la plage de mesure est limitée. ð Este termómetro funciona con infrarrojos y es de tipo pistola, pudiendo obtener la temperatura tanto de las personas como de las cosas en cuestión de unos segundos. Como decÃa, es de tipo pistola; tienes que apuntar con el termómetro a unos escasos centÃmetros de aquello o de quien quieras obtener la temperatura, aprietas el gatillo y, en unos segundos, dos o tres, emite un pitido y marca en la pantalla digital la temperatura obtenida.
En la parte delantera tiene el sensor para obtener la temperatura, y tienes que acercarlo a unos centÃmetros de la frente de la persona de la que quieras medir la temperatura corporal o de la cosa de la que quieras saber su temperatura. En la parte trasera tiene cuatro botones. This thermometer uses infrared technology in order to measure temperature. You point the thermometer at the person or object you are interested in, and then pull the trigger in order to activate it and take the reading. The nice thing about this style of thermometer is that you are able to record a temperature reading without having to physically touch your child. This allows you to perform the reading when the child is asleep, or resting, without interrupting them. You do not need to insert any probe into their ear or mouth in order to get an accurate reading. When using it on multiple people, it stays sanitary as there is no touch and you don’t need to worry about cleaning any probe or using disposal tips which can get costly over time.
The readings are fairly precise and provide a good indication of the person’s internal body temperature. You can toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit readings based on your preferences and what you are accustomed to. The thermometer will let you know if your child has a temperature that is within the range of a fever and alert you if a reading comes in within the range.
Not only can you use this on a child, or an adult, you can use it on items as well such as baby bottles or boiling water. There is a different mode for when you are using the thermometer on objects.
The thermometer requires 2 AA batteries and they are included. The included batteries are of the Duracell brand and you will need to install them into the thermometer by opening the door at the bottom of the unit and inserting them in the correct directions. To conserve the battery, the thermometer will go into a power saving mode when it is not in use.
One of the unique features of this thermometer is that it can store 32 temperature measurements in memory. This can be helpful if you are not recording the temperatures yourself and need to refer to a measurement that you previously took for comparison.
This thermometer is easy to use, lightweight and very safe and convenient. It is certainly something you will appreciate having around, especially if you have small children, and it works very quickly. It is easy enough that children can safely use it without assistance from an adult.
