Ok item
Got this for our windows and the instructions donât seem very clear to us. Will give this a go but really I think is for balcony windows and big industrial buildings and not homes. Nice item though in general. Just needs to have a video for it.

I have a small window that i needed to clean myself cause the robot did not fit and honestly the robot did better job on the other big windows. Amazing product. No need to climb and clean the robot does it for you.

I was expecting a cordless window cleaner that would work well for our front windows in our open concept living area, as I have a hard time reaching the upper windows, especially from the exterior. As well, we have glass insert railings on all our decks and stairs. With this unit, it cannot be placed where the edge of the glass is not in a frame, as it will lose its suction and not work. This eliminated the use for all our railings. It also requires both the power cord to be attached and a safety tether line to be in place. Since this is not possible in our living area, the main use that I had ordered this for was eliminated. Even for walls, I find it hard to figure out a way of tethering it properly. Before using the robot on windows to wash, you need to do a dry run or dry clean the windows first, then change the pads to do a wet run. This is way more trouble than doing them by hand. I decided to dry wipe the windows with a car wash mitt and then use the robot. It will not take out any set in grime, even after 2 runs. I found myself going over all the windows with a mitt and then a blade scraper to take off all noticeable grime, just to use the robot and end up with partly cleaned windows. You still need to do the corners and wipe where the robot finishes. I do a spring and fall cleaning of all my windows and spend a whole afternoon just doing the outside ones. This is longer than it took me to do them by hand. You will need to change the pads very often, and I went through the whole set of 12 just for the outside.This window robot seems best suited for homes with very large windows so that you do not spend your time moving it and cleaning up before and after it on each window. I have not tried it on the walls yet, but already know that I will have to remove anything on the walls for it to even work in automatic mode. In manual mode it seems to be hit and miss as far as if it follows the buttons you press and how far it will go. For me, this has not been a time saver I thought it would be and the only advantage I see is that I do not have to go back to get a streak free clean. If you want light cleaning of dust or water spot stains, then this should be good.

I’ve been gradually filling my home with all sorts of robotic cleaning tech and this window cleaner by Alfabot came at the right time!It comes in a box that has a carrying handle attached to it, which would be super useful if you want to transport it around. It includes the window cleaner itself, a bunch of extra cleaning pads, a nice long ac power cord and supply, and a remote with batteries.Getting it out and assembled was very, very easy. I filled up the tank with water and had some soap lightly sprayed on the window, attached the safety rope to my drape rod, connected to power, pressed the power button, and then the start button – away it went! It immediately suctioned itself securely to the window and got to work by automatically working it’s way across my window in a path-like way.My windows looked incredible after! It was very cool watching the X8 go across my window and see the pads effectively cleaning my windows. Getting it off was also super easy and it detached with ease once completed. The remote also works well and there are also some smart features like voice activation.Overall, an awesome addition to my “family” of smart cleaning robots! The X8 cleans windows effectively and in a very precise way. It saves a lot of hassle and gets right into those hard to reach spots, like the outside of a window, which other would be unsafe to!
