Great handling drone
This is my 3rd mini drone. It is the best one by far. It handles so well it is easily flown indoors but large enough to take outside also.It has all the features you expect in a drone. It includes 2 batteries which give it a very long play time between charges. It connects to the controller very easily and instantly. You can also use your phone as a controller and view the camera live as you fly around.For this price point you canât go wrong.

Fun drone, easy to fly, even for a newb
I had no experience trying to fly a drone prior to getting this Simrex x800 drone toy. The tldr – I’m hooked.I spent a few minutes examining the user’s manual, which is brief but thorough enough. Pairing the remote, and installing and connecting the app were very straightforward. Flying was a breeze, in particular thanks to the optional “auto” modes for takeoff and landing. One button press, and the drone starts and hovers at about 1 meter. When you press the auto-land function, it gently sets itself down. Once lifted, the remote has controls to raise/lower, turn left/right, move forward/backward/left/right. After a few minutes, it’s pretty easy to get the hang of.The photos and videos this drone takes are great – actually much better quality than I was expecting, given the price of the drone. One note: when you read in the description that it has an “adjustable 90-degree camera lens”, that’s true. However, you adjust it while you’re holding the drone in your hand. While in flight, there’s no remote control function to change the camera angle. That’s probably obvious to more experienced fliers, but it wasn’t to me.The battery life felt short to me…but you really do get the ~20 minutes they advertise. The problem is, it’s so much fun to fly, that it *feels* like 5 minutes! It’s no wonder you you don’t get more time – the battery is necessarily feather-light. Have no fear however. Since Simrex includes two batteries, you can be charging one while flying with the other!Another nice touch is that Simrex also included a number of spare prop blades. I assume this is the part most often lost or damaged in a crash. So far I haven’t needed a spare, but I’m glad they are included.Bottom line is this toy is loads of fun, and I can’t wait to get it outside more. Snow has arrived where I live, and I’ll probably wait until we get a little warmer weather before taking it outside again. I see that as I write this, there’s an associated $10 coupon. I felt like it was a great deal when I got it, but at almost 20% less, it that much better. So much fun for so little money!

Bought for my little boy as a first drone to try. Battery life isnât that long so went dead quite quickly, he is 7 and found it easy to drive. We found it easy to set up. It flys great the video quality isnât great to be honest but like I said itâs his first one to try before we buy a more expensive one. Iâd say itâs great value for money

The Simrex X800 drone was bought by myself as an early Christmas present. I have been promising myself to buy one and have been waiting for the right one at the right price. Well I certainly think that I have found one that ticks all the boxes.Let me say from the start that the word “Toy” appears on the Instruction book and handbook, this is far from a toy. Although the kids under supervision will love it, mine did.The box opening was exciting, once the batteries were charged fully, about 10 mins to charge them up, the one battery was inserted. The spare battery was stored, ready for later. I must say read the instructions then download the Simrex Zoomy, there is a QR code which you scan and download the app.The app allows you to use the phone as a controller and has the facility to take high quality photographs and videos from it. The best thing is you can control the Simrex 800 with ease from the controller or switch to the phone and see what the drone sees. The amount of functions that this drone can perform is numerous. Use the phone or controller to control it.Once you take control of the craft you will find that it is simple to use and you will find yourself zooming over the houses and trees, it really is a fantastic machine, it feels as if you are flying.The weight of the drone being under 250 grams, means that it is classed as a toy, this is fantastic because as I have said this is better than just a toy.For reviewers in the UK this is the legislation,You can fly drones under 250 grams at residential, recreational, commercial, and industrial sites.You can fly closer to people than 50 meters and over them, but you must not fly over crowds.You must always fly safely and never put people in danger.You must always keep the drone in sight, do not loose where it is, in the sky.As you get better at the controls you will be amazed the agile ability of the drone, this is my first drone to fly and some things stand out above others. This drone is lightweight well made and balanced, it has forward and under deck cameras, the controller is well made and is similar to the Playstation controller, as many are. As a child using it, providing you are responsible, it is an ideal tool (Toy) that should be in your number one list. Ask Father Christmas for one. As an adult flying the drone, you will be surprised just how this one will take the years off you, be a child again. Get one for your own tool box.For the price of this X800 drone you can have many hours of fun, I intend to get another this week as the thought of controlled flying, with my brother using one sounds more than fun.I can thoroughly recommend this drone to you, you will not be disappointed if you buy one, 10/10.Off to fly now, again, thats how it gets you. This is the first drone I have ever bought or operated. I must say it’s been a while since I’ve had this much fun with a gadget. The drone is easy to operate and it takes very little time to learn to navigate. It comes with two batteries and they seem to work for a pretty long time before they run out. As you can see from the video I am playing with it in my living room and taking a video on the iPhone. The hand held controller is light and is operated by 3 AAA batteries.

Purchased for a Christmas present the left rear motor does not working, therefore the drone is not useable, tried to contact the seller to arrange a replacement but no way of doing so. Therefore left with a tearful upset son, and not way of getting another drone without purchasing another one ?!? Poor product and poor customer service, avoid.

This drone is very portable as itâs design allows it to fold and be compact. Really nice to have 2 batteries when going for a fly. The app is a little hard to use but okay. Overall the drone has excellent control and a very good buy for a beginner or an intermediate who is looking for an other drone to add to their fleet.
