So cool for young gardeners
This root viewer is awesome for young people interested in gardening and growing things. It was very simple to set it up get started. We were seeing sprouts in as little as two weeks and my son is beyond excited that he gets to watch as each plant grows!It was a project that I did help him with due to soaking the dirt, but for the most part he did most of it by himself.

Update: the company reached out to me and were so pleasant and professional. I added a star to my review because of the great customer service. I honestly plan on giving other products they sell a try.The planter is nice, but the dirt and seeds did not work out. The dirt became mouldy and the seeds absolutely would not sprout.I tried planting the seeds in different dirt, a different pot, and they still didn’t sprout.I got some new dirt and seeds to use with the container, and my son was able to watch those grow. The plastic is clear and seems durable, I wish it came with a drip tray though.Overall I would not recommend the kit because the dirt and seeds were terrible.

Great idea, but needs improvement
The concept is really fun, especially for kids. However, the bottom part keeps falling off every time you pick it up, which is inconvenient. Considering this product is meant for children who will often grab the pot, it would be better if the design was more sturdy.

SO COOL
Okay, so I definitely ordered this to do with my 4 year old, though it quickly became evident it was just as much for me as it was for him. I am pretty sure I like it more than my son does HAHA. But the product came packaged well, it was easy and fun to set up. My son loved all the stickers that came with it and had a blast decorating the container. My advice would be to let your little decorate the container before you put the stuff in it despite the instructions saying to do so after. But we followed the instructions, I placed the container up on my kitchen window ledge and within about 3 days we saw sprouts! The seeds grew very quickly and it was so cool to see the roots through the container and how they wrap around the bottom. It is easy to keep up on as it just needs a few squirts of water at a time. A second benefit of this project is that my son under supervision gets to practice using his scissors and “mowing” the grass, which he sure thinks is pretty cool

Super cute, but missing a seed packet. Mine only came with green onion.UPDATE: the seller contacted me directly and is mailing out the missing seed packet. We did plant the green onion seeds and my daughter really enjoyed doing this!

Gave as a gift
Gave as a gift and was so disappointed when I asked how it was going. My grandson was so excited to watch the roots grow and all he saw was mold growing on the soil. Apparently this is an ongoing problem with these kits. I ended up buying him some new seeds and some clay pots to grow flowers in. He won’t be able to see the roots, but it was the next best thing to him starting a little garden of his own. I wish this had better quality soil and maybe seeds. The concept is great.

I bought this for my daughter.. She enjoyed planting the seeds that came with it but there was no growth from them. We then tried our own seed and there was growth, we now have a little seedling!!It was very clear easy instructions, price for the product was great! Fun activity for kids, perfect size to be handled by little hands.!
