Great building project
I pulled out this box of six building sets for my kids and their cousins to build together last night. Kids ages range from 10 – 19. They all had fun putting them together and racing the cars.

Fun, Inexpensive STEM project
These are very basic cars, but a good level of complexity for the specified age range. These are 5 identical kits, so they are ideal for some sort of party where multiple kids could compete. I don’t think it would be good for a single kid, because they would lose interest in building the same car five times.Batteries are NOT included. You need 2 AA batteries for each car.

Excellent STEM-Focused Projects
This BeAndge 5-Set Individual STEM Kit for Kids will be a great addition to the toy room for our 2 grandsons when they come over to visit. The 6-year old loves assembling toys and this set is perfect to keep him and his brother busy for hours. His younger brother loves to mimic what he does especially when building things. They have a ton of toys at their house but I wanted to have educational toys for them here at our house–these will keep them intellectually challenged. What I like best: there are 5 prepackaged sets so it’s easy to pick and work on whichever individual project they want to work on–only thing needed are 2AA batteries for each kit. Another thing is the very clearly illustrated instruction sheet that will easily guide the 2 boys. The best part: it deals with STEM concepts . . . engineering-focused in this case.At $15.99 when I got it, it’s a great value and excellent deal for the price, the 5 kits and the educational benefit. I would definitely recommend this kit.

Nice kits for a good price
Got these for four boys, intentionally getting one extra “just in case” there was some sort of failure, and even though there’s an “extra,” I could not beat the price. The sets are all fine, though, so one day another little boy will get to use the extra. (SO NOT A PROBLEM with a failure! But have had little ones disappointed in the past) The parts are all provided except the batteries, and there is even a small screwdriver to let you put them together! I did read some warn that the screws may be small and easily lost, but our practice is to build in a tray anyway, so I didn’t expect a problem. The only thing that MIGHT require help as you work with your kiddos is the wiring part… yet even that is not too awfully hard, and the whole experience of building is so motivating that it does not deter from the build. I WOULD suggest staying nearby, though, as your children may need an extra hand to hold/help with that portion. All in all, I would say a good purchase, and a good alternative to the brick toys we usually build together.

Teaches mechanical processes
Interesting toy. Introduces building skills geared toward young children. Love the concept however not quite a quality product.

ALSO GREAT FOR 5 YR OLDS
3 grandsons–ages 7, 5, and 3. The 3 yr old wasn’t the least bit interested in what was going on. But the 5 yr old? He wanted to participate and “HELP” his brother and dad build these. He’s learning his numbers, so he was “assigned” counting out the pieces per item. Somehow we ended up missing a “GOOGLY EYE”. But that was ok. As I had read the other reviews, my soninlaw decided to solder the pieces that were needed, to alleviate any frustration with the boys. They were fairly easy to build, but boys being boys, crash and burn seems to be a fan favorite. They did last a couple of days until they were all done destroying each other’s “CAR”, but they had fun building, playing, and ultimately, crashing them. These seem more geared towards 4-6 yr olds; my oldest grandson who IS 8, got bored within 15 minutes of the start of the building process. But it’s definitely a “sound” kit, and kids enjoyed it, and that’s what counted.
