Well made and works well. Lightweight and portable
This is a professionally packaged Babybliss product that is great for throwing in a bag and taking away with you for quick trimming needs, especially if you know which attachments you need. This trimmer is good but not comparable to barber style trimmers.Once you open the box though, you realise that the packaging is a tad overkill.Within the box, comes â¦- Beard Trimmer plus attachment- Precision Trimmer- Power Trimmer- Detail Trimmer- Body Groomer- Nose & Ear Trimmer- 6 comb guides (2mm – 10mm).- Cleaning Brush- USB A to USB C charging cable- Storage bag- User manualClearly I have a lot more than 11 pieces as I have 5 heads, 6 combs, a cleaning brush, charging cable and storage bag plus the unit itself. Good news.The trimmer is battery powered, so wireless and can run for 4 hours with a 3 hour charge. Plastic and lightweight is has 1 speed setting. It runs smoothly, and doesnât run hot but not as fast or effective as better quality trimmers.The trimmer is a black one with silver precision heads. Charged via the USB C port at its base (5V, 1A). The sides have grooves meaning the unit doesnât slip when you are using it in the wet. It is a wet use unit, but the port is exposed so beware.The trimmer also has only the 1 speed, activated by the power button perfectly located for thumb operation.It sits well in the had, and is easy to use. Fairly light and compact. Feels well made though.The attachments are easy to remove and easy to use and adjust. The precision heads are attached magnetically and simply pulled off. The combs are slid on to the respective head and pushed off for removal. The combs mean you can trim longer or shorter and for tidying up or detailing.It works well although I do believe that there are other trimmers out there, comparably priced but better quality. That said, it does work well and if your needs or not extremely demanding, then you will get in absolutely fine with this trimmer, just like I am.Remember though â¦. Keep them oiled otherwise using this trimmer becomes painful. Think more pulling of hair than trimming.Finally, according to Amazon this comes with a 3 year guarantee which is both impressive and comforting. Very light weight and has easily changed heads. Cuts poorly and feels less than robust.
On the plus side, this trimmer set is light weight and a handy size. The silicone wrap makes it easy to hang on to, especially with damp hands and the on/off button doesn’t accidentally activate if you brush against it whilst in use.I like the magnetic heads this trimmer comes with; something I’ve not seen before and this makes them extremely easy to remove in order to wash and then replace. Apparently the entire machine is washable but I’m not sure how well protected the USB socket is as there’s no cover on it. There’s a wide range of plastic guards as you know and as I only use a trimmer to shave my head without a guard, I’ll have to imagine that they’re fine to use.However, there are some downsides with this set. Presentation is rubbish and all of the parts come wrapped in the type of paper you get a poke of chips presented to you in on a Saturday night. The whole package feels on the cheap side too. Everything is thin-feeling and insubstantial. Yes, it’s light but doesn’t really feel robust. This includes the motor, which actually varies in speed even when not in use and slows down significantly when used without a guard on my fair hair. It’s only being asked to trim down from maybe 2mm to 0.5mm, but can’t seem to manage that without dragging. I have a set of ‘big brand’ clippers that actually recognise where extra power is required and speeds up accordingly and they cost only £25. The supplied pouch is similarly thin and cheap-feeling and since the clippers don’t come with protective caps for any of the blades, the bag will be in holes in no time.I have had literally dozens of sets of hair clippers over the years and have about four sets available to me at the moment. I have to say that at £60 at the time of writing, this set represents quite poor value for money, especially compared to the set I currently use, which are super-powerful, washable, adjustable and sells for around half the price of these. You’re paying for the Babyliss name with this set but to be honest, you could do much better for the price.

I like this two in one trimmer and shaver. It has variety of heads so it can be use for many purposes. It is small, efficient and reliable. It has every thing for a gentle manâs grooming. It is easy to use and has long lasting battery power. In my opinion, it is expensive. It is easily available at competitive prices.

Light and Easy to Handle
This multi-purpose trimmer is battery powered (charged via a USB connection) with a range of guides and adaptors for beard trimming and shaving.Pros- it is lightweight and easy to handle- it can be used wet (although there are concerns about protection of the charging point)- it is rechargeable so no need to replace the battery- there are a reasonable range of adapters and trimmers- the blades cut reasonably wellCons- although a charging cable is supplied there is no charger so you have to find your own suitable one or pay more for an accesssory- the cutting head is relatively small so it is good for detail work but less so for a big cut- when used dry the beard trimmings do stick to the body of the trimmer- the description pf the attachements is on the box rather than in an instruction leaflet- the loose bag storage is not a good way of keeping track of attachments. It would be easier if they had compartments- the value for money is questionable at the RRP of £60 but I have normally seen the item at discounted price.Overall I would rate this at between 3 and 4 stars but I have pushed it up to 4 on in the hope that as a named brand it will last well and because it has a wider range of attachments than my existing trimmer
