My son is 9. He loves building with knex. Thought this would be a great challenge for him. It has ended up being a good challenge for me too since none of the colours match on the instructions to the colour of the actual parts.

Holy cow this set is fun! This was our first K’nex motorized set purchase so I was a little nervous that it would be difficult but it was not. My daughters (7 & 10) put this together mostly by themselves. They needed help getting a few stubborn pieces to connect but overall they were able to set it up with ease. After they got it all together we turned it on and it wasn’t spinning. After looking it over I realized they hadn’t jabbed the rod into the motor hard enough so I pushed it a little harder and ir started working. The motor requires 2 AA batteries that are not included.My girls decided it would be fun to attach some of their 3″ My Little Pony dolls in the seats and it works. We were only able to put 4 in though, any more made it go too slow.This set it also able to be constructed differently to make 2 other designs but we haven’t tried those yet. I love that it included instructions to make other things. I’m going to wait until they get bored with this before assembling it differently. Over great buy. Very fun set!
