Cute toy but cat wasn’t interested
This flapping bird toy comes with instructions and accessories. The exterior is lovely and plush but relatively thin so you can feel the solid block inside containing the battery and wing mechanism. The back has a velcro seal and is easy to open up. That’s the only way to access the charging port and power switch. A red light comes on when charging. The switch is small and in an indent so is not going to be accidentally triggered. When it is switched on, the bird flaps and tweets when it is tapped or moved but stops fairly quickly. It then sits in standby until it is moved again, so you don’t have to keep turning it on and off.While build quality seems pretty good and the bird has a loop so can be hung up, it’s a bit large and stops moving too quickly for my cat to want to play with it. The flapping and tweeting did get her interested briefly but she prefers snake-like toys like a feather boa. She’ll probably need time to get used to it but it hasn’t triggered any hunting behaviour so far, my experience is that it provides more amusement for toddlers than for cats.

Cute, yes, reliable, no, sadly not.
This is cute, but unfortunately the construction of the mechanism is very cheap and the switch on mine broke quite quickly.As the instructions don’t mention it, to charge the bird, you need to open the velcro on the back of the bird, the switch is also in there, which makes turning off and on very fiddly.

Great little toy
Coming boxed you have the item, a charging cables and a string with loop for hanging.The item is stitched well enough for a toy thats designed to be beaten and bashed around but thats dependant on the pet. Theres a tucked in power switch so it cant be activated accidentally with a USB port. Once flick and a tap or any movement to the unit will set off the flapping and tweeting.I have noticed it does have a few patterns to keep the pet enriched and more interested. Initially this made my cat jump but after a few jump arounds and pokes has been throwing this thing all over the front room with it still going strong.

Cats have shown no interest
This bird is currently on sale at £20, I would expect to pay no more than £10.My cats have no interest in the toy unfortunately but my friends 4 year old is going to love it! It is strange that the cats don’t want to play as they normally love tops that move.To make it work you must knock the bird, or attach the string so you can bounce the toy, activating the mechanism which makes it chirp and move it’s wings.I’ve given it 3 stars for to my cats not wanting it but I would give it more as a kids toy.

It’s okay for what it is, but too pricey.
One of them wear and tear items that life expectancy could be from a day to a year.Only thing I don’t agree with is price, too much for an item such as this tiny bird which doesn’t flap around as much as many half price birds out there do.You get a charging cable, cat nip and a string to attach the bird if you think your cat will like that rather than just flapping around on the floor or ground.Charging is easy, USB-C type which is nowadays very accessible.Tiny on/off switch and rightly so as you don’t want it to be turned on or off regularly.As said, only price is what I dislike as it feels way too inflated.
