am glad I ran across this item as my dog always looks like she wants to lay down but has to sit in the front seat of the car. this way she doesn’t seem so stressed and will not fall forward. she’s still a little bit leery of it but for me I think its great. I love that it can be used as storage too. very sturdy and easy to use.

Habe Grösse M bestellt (auf Amazon wurde es mit Grösse L verkauft) für Peugeot 308 SW, BJ 22. Die Länge passt optimal im Fussraum! Hätte ruhig etwas schmaler sein können. Bei Verwendung mit den hinteren Sitzen hat der Fahrer oder Beifahrer keinen Platz im Fussraum mehr. Gekauft für Urlaub – Hundespielzeug und Equipment.Ich empfehle es!

I ordered this car seat extender not to give more seating room for my Golden or to prevent him from falling behind the seat, as those two things have never been an issue, but to give him more room to get into the car.I have a four-door sedan, and with the door not opening widely, the wheel well, and a curved edge to the end of the back seat, it doesn’t give him much room, and he would often end up in the foot area. The UNICITII Car Seat Extender for Large Dogs has fixed this issue just as I had hoped.It is quick and easy to put together â unfold the base, insert the dividers, put the lid on, and you’re done â and the top (lid) is quite solid and sturdy; no worries about it not supporting my dog’s weight.I did have one issue with one of the snaps for the lid on one side not lining up properly â if you snapped one, the other wouldn’t quite reach, and if you managed to get it snapped on, the already snapped one came unsnapped. Not really a big issue, though, as the lid still goes on fine and functions fine, too.The only other issue, or con, I have is that I had to move the front passenger seat all the way forward just to fit this behind the seat, and it was still a tight fit, that required some hard pushing. Even a smaller adult would be uncomfortable in the front seat with it all the way forward, so, in my car anyway, you lose that seat and can’t leave the extender in the car permanently.I actually don’t mind that, as I thought about the fact that if someone saw the storage tote in your back seat, it may make your car more of a target for a break-in, so I would be taking it out anyway when not in use.They do show the extender being used as a step outside the car, but it is at the same height as the seat, so your dog would still have to jump to the ground from the same height, only now standing on less real estate. I don’t think this use-case offers any advantage to your dog getting out of the car and may even make it more cumbersome.This is a good product, but if you are considering buying it, and you don’t want to put it in and out of your car all the time, I would recommend that you check the dimensions of the product and the space between your front seat and back seat before purchasing, to make sure your front seat is still usable.
