MORE of my fav matcha
Iâve tried a handful of different matcha brands and always come back to this one. Amazing quality for a great price!! I usually purchase the small can of ceremonial grade so I was excited to see it now comes in a bigger size!

Very nice, good for special occasions
I’ll address the price first and foremost. This is something that will give some people pause, especially if they’ve never had matcha before. This is something that would admittedly not be in my exact zone for matcha, but then I’m more into some of the other tea blends out there. It’s not exactly an acquired taste, but it’s definitely something that will take some getting used to if you’re only familiar with basic green tea. This is pretty good and of fairly high quality, which I think explains the price. This is a smooth flavor and I like that this is just matcha. There’s no additional content, so you can add stuff as you would wish. Not that there’s anything wrong with mixes that add things like say, milk or milk alternatives to make it more of a latte, but it’s also nice to have a good basic powder. If you’re familiar with matcha and want a good quality powder, this is absolutely something I would recommend. If you are new to it then I would recommend something a bit more average to determine if you like it or not before splurging.

Good matcha
This matcha tea powder is a solid product. I’m decently picky about my teas but this particular brand is strong and really good. It’s relatively easy to use and make which is really nice.

Tastes like grass and spinach
I love green tea. Love it! So I thought I would give matcha a try. It immediately smelled like powdered spinach but I pushed forward, still willing to give it a chance. I mixed a quarter teaspoon with warm water and shook until thoroughly blended, added some ice and cold water and proceeded to drink. It tasted like the sweat on my upper lip after Iâve just finished mowing the yard mixed with a hint of the water left over after boiling spinach. This one definitely gets a hard pass from me.

Bright and tasty but a bit more pricey than some other Ceremonials
I recently ran out of my run of various Ceremonials and I was limping along with a few culinary grade blends. This isn’t a knock on culinary blends but when you’re used to Ceremonials (especially better ones) the difference in look, smell and taste is quite noticeable.I’ve tried plenty of blends but never from Sencha and I must say I was very pleased. It was a welcome sight to see the bright, lively floral greens of a proper Ceremonial again. The taste was there even dry as I always taste the dry coating on the spoon after removing a few servings. No harshness or bitterness so I knew after a proper pour and whisk it was going to be good. After pour and prep, it was VERY tasty with low to no bitterness or salty/ocean taste which I do not like. Some call this their version of Umami. I call it no thank you. While I can tolerate culinary grade for sipping (I usually use it for cooking, baking or shakes) my wife can not and can only begrudgingly enjoy Ceremonial. She very much liked Sencha too.It *is* a touch pricey compared to several other ‘Ceremonial’ blends out there but I will say this has quickly turned into one of my favorites and you do get what you pay for.5/5
