The best deal I’ve found for quality ceremonial grade matcha
I’ve been drinking matcha green tea for the last 2.5 years since I discovered the many health benefits of it. I experimented with many different brands at several price points. I had settled on a brand called Matcha Sense because it offered a great flavor at a reasonable price. I’d buy two 3.5 oz pkgs at a time for around $60 and I’ve been doing that for the last 2 years. Most other “high quality” matcha is much more expensive than that.I decided to try to find a good tasting matcha that would hopefully be nearly as good as the Matcha Sense brand at a lower price point. I decided to give this Teatree Matcha brand a try based on the good reviews. Well I haven’t been disappointed. This brand tastes identical to the Matcha Sense brand and has the exact same texture and dark green coloring. Except this brand becomes even more frothy when I whisk it in my matcha bowl (lower quality matcha usually won’t become frothy at all or have very little). I drink mine over ice with no add-ons, with 1 tsp mixed in about 10 oz of water. The flavor is great IMO with no bitterness.So at half the price of Matcha Sense, I’ve found my new go-to for matcha.

This seemed like the best price per ounce of ceremonial grade matcha so I ordered it to try. Iâve reordered it several times and Iâm still happy. Iâm no connoisseur, but I think if youâre a purist looking for something to drink plain, this isnât it. If youâre more into matcha lattes and matcha mixtures, I think this will work for you. I enjoy it a lot with a splash of silk oat milk creamer.

Good value but not flavor
Good value but too gritty for ceremonial grade compared to Satoen, another value brand which is much finer and milder, this brand taste more like olong or Chinese “gunpowder” green tea which is robust and acidic with a metallic after taste. Korean brand Seein is a better alternative and has a nutty lighter flavor and Satoen is closest to “barista” latte style.
