The built-in GPS is a standout feature
Setting the watch up takes some time and attention to both watch and app settings. For the first day or two I had a flurry of notifications, each flurry repeated several times. On my first night in bed I removed it because a) it lit up when I turned over; and b) alarm went just as I was dropping off to sleep (not sure why, maybe my heart rate had dipped below the low value). I had assumed the sleep settings on the app would override anything else. The next morning on the watch I turned on Do not Disturb to cover the sleep period, problem sorted. Like most watches it can’t distinguish very well between light sleep and lying awake in bed, but otherwise is reasonably accurate. I turned on the option for always on display (aod) and continuous HRM – it uses more battery but I like to have constant heart rate tracking. I expected that turning on “Exercise auto-detect” would auto-detect some activities but my time on a cross trainer was just logged as steps. On closer inspection this option merely ‘reminds you when it detects that you are moving’ – which seems a pretty pointless thing to do! I felt misled by this – and actual auto detection of common activities isn’t a lot to ask from a ‘smart’ watch in this price range (even my old Fitbit 2 knows when I’m on an elliptical and logs it as such). The app consistently shows the wrong weight – an unrealistic light weight that I have never input! So far I’ve been unable to fix this.I ordered this watch in large part because of the “built-in GPS”. It wasn’t obvious where and when this might kick in, but when I went for a 30 mile bike ride I started the Outdoor Cycling activity on the watch and when I got home I could see the precise route I’d taken along with mileage markers along the route map, average speed, distance, speed for each kilometre, time spent in five heart rate zones, total ascent, total descent, average heart rate, and calories burned. I was suitably impressed.

Great budget model
This is a great watch at a good price. First of all it looks good in the box so would make a fabulous present. Out of the box, it is good quality and looks good when worn. It has the functionality of many other more expensive smart watches and links to the phone well. Set up was easy. It is good for monitoring exercise and the heart rate appears to be accurate. There were no major issues when using it. It fits comfort If you are looking for a good quality smart watch at a fair price then this will suit your needs. I would definitely recommend.

Great looking phone but cannot connect Bluetooth to audio
I could do with a new SmartWatch so I ordered this one.It comes really well packaged and the package looks really quite posh and the watch inside the package is also very well packaged.Inside the box you get the phone come up the charging lead and some basic instructions.As usual with their smartphones all you do is download and app and then switch the phone on and bind the app to the phone, you can either find the app manually or you can use the QR code to scan and this will find the app for you.Once the app is installed and you have bound your phone you could then start playing around with the settings.It bound my phone very quickly by following the instructions. You can change all kind of settings in the phone but then I came across a problem.I wanted this phone so I could use it to make phone calls on it and my phone would not locate this device as a bluetooth audio device no matter how much I tried.I uninstalled the device three times and reinstalled, I also tried to change all the applications permissions so it would accept the smart watch. It just would not find it as an audio device just a normal Bluetooth device,the suspects thing was that in the app permissions I could not allow it to use the microphone as it was just not there.This may have been my phone issue but I have been able to have two different smart watches in the last couple of years and they have both worked perfectly.The watch itself feels really nice and it has a great weight to it, also the two straps that you get with it are really actually quite quality.There are lots of different options and things to play with on this phone including a small random game that I had no idea what I was doing with. Everything is quick and sleek and so the software on the phone does seem very good.Unfortunately it did not do the main thing that I wanted it to do hence the three star review.I was using a black view a 80 Pro and although this phone is a not so known Chinese make, it is actually quite a good phone and I am able to connect a pretty much anything so I do not believe it’s my phone but if you wanted to give this a try and have a different phone then please be my guest as it is a really nice looking phone.

Nice and sleek and well-made, but basic smartwatch.
So I’ve been testing out this watch, its a basic one but has a few nice features, a sleep tracking, hear rate and step tracking. Installation of the companion app and initial pairing my phone with the watch was very intuitive, didn’t need to peek to the manuals. As for the design and build, the watch is pretty sleek, its got a nice screen which can be set to be always-on and the leather straps are comfortable. There’s a set of sporty silicone straps but I prefer leather ones. The battery life is fine too, lasting a few days , almost a week on a single charge with the always-on display turned on. I can make and receive calls directly from the watch, just need to get used to it. It is somehow convenient, however I think I prefer to pick up my calls on my phone rather than at the watch. But this feature is here, if you’d need it. Good value for the price and it has all the basics you need to stay on top of your fitness and health goals.
