YardCards are designed and developed by practicing UK Doctors – for educational use by any training medical professionals. All information is reliably sourced, for example from the Royal College of Physicians.
They’re an ideal companion for any medical student, nursing student, PA student, student dietician, student physio, student paramedic or really any student placed in a clinical setting! Reference ranges are rarely taught in medical education and often come from clinical experience. As well as providing a handy reference, having these values to hand can help you learn them quickly too. Just clip it to your lanyard and all this information will be just a quick glance away!
Let’s take a closer look at the ECG card:
What size are the cards?
The cards are 54 mm x 86 mm. This is the same size as a standard ID card or credit card. This means the text is quite small, but due to the extremely high quality printing process the text will not be pixelated or distorted.
What are the cards made of?
The cards are made of PVC plastic. They are printed using a robust and high quality process, meaning that they are fully wipeable and waterproof, and very resistant to wear and tear.
How can I carry the cards?
Each card has a punched hole at the narrow end of the card, so they can be attached to a clip on a lanyard. If you prefer, you can slide the card into a dual-sided ID card holder.
Is the information accurate for the UK?
YardCards were developed and designed by doctors in the UK for healthcare students in the UK. Although they are accurate, please do not use them for clinical decision making, they are for educational purposes as e.g. lab reference ranges can vary
Do you have any other cards?
Yes, we have bundles of cards for Paediatrics, Midwifery, and also another bundle for adults including Cranial Nerve Exam, Dermatomes Myotomes and Reflexes, ABCDE Assessment, and Pain Assessment (SOCRATES)

Amazing for Student Nurse/Health care workers
These little cards make a great gift for a student or someone working in healthcare! I personally bought these for myself as a student nurse who also works as a health care assistant and the NEWS card always comes in handy for me to remind myself if peopleâs observations are in the correct range! The cards are really sturdy material and are great for hanging on a badge reel as a reminder whilst at work/placement. They are also good to read when you are bored to learn something lol, they are just the right size to fit into the little badge holder too. They are easy to use and read for me however it is quite small so if you need glasses you might have to put them on. I think the ECG card is good for if you want to learn how to read an ECG too. Overall i would recommend these to anyone starting out in health care as they really can come in handy!

Great for student paramedic
They are clear, useful information. They have put up with a lot of battering, bending and scratching and still in good condition. Great size, not too small to be hard to read and not to big to get in the way. Easy to use, would be again.

Little aids to have in practice
As a healthcare student, I always feel kind of pressured to know all the little details, blood pressure values, and heart rates, basic observations that are easy enough to study, but I can’t really be expected to know everything and these go a long way in helping me remember and relax in practice. I just attach them to my badge and they’re not even in the way.

Magnify!!!
This product I was hoping to use to alleviate questions from health conscious people but we are really struggling to read the cards. I love the idea and how they are presented, but the type is quite small.
