Trib the cat likes it.
This heated mat is very simple. Plug it in, put a cover over it (we use an old acrylic waffle weave blanket, folded to two or three layers), switch it on, apply pet; in my case, Trib the cat. He is 15 years old and has arthritis for which he has a daily dose of loxicom. The med takes the edge off but as we went into winter 2022, it became apparent he was getting very stiff in damp, cold weather so we decided on the heated blanket. We chose low voltage and anti chew for safety.We found that while the covered blanket doesn’t feel particularly warm at first, the presence of cat traps heat and the blanket comes into its own. We know it’s doing the trick because he stretches out more rather than curling into a tight ball and so does not get anywhere near as stiff. As we head into the second winter with the blanket – it still works fine and continues to help prevent discomfort for our old boy. He heads for that warm spot as the temperature drops.As long as Trib continues to enjoy a reasonable quality of life, the dreaded day when we may have to call time remains a more distant thought; the blanket is helping to keep that time a bit more distant so it’s well worth the price and the 15 watts it takes to run it.

I am Benny, an 8-year old Burmese cat and I always feel the cold.I like warm places but my servant evicts me from the airing cupboard and the bed. So imagine my surprise and pleasure at discovering he had bought me this wonderful device to place on my own bed. Wonderful!Now I am no longer cold and my hips and legs feel much more comfortable as the warmth permeates my joints – I am getting on a bit and all that jumping around takes its toll on my knees and hips so this is like a warm bath (which I would hate, by the way, just in case he’s reading this).I think every cat should have one of these, as it is so very cheap to run, works like a dream and can always be unplugged if we have a heatwave. And being low voltage there is no risk of me getting zapped if I’m too enthusiastic with my paw padding into the mat, although he does put a rather fetching blanket on top to make it even more comfy.Thank you, my servant, you’re not so bad really. Now, I’m sure it’s dinner time…

Best heated pad and great customer service
This is the best thing Iâve brought for my cats. Iâve got two of these heated pads and they are being used everyday. Pet Remedy customer service is really good too. Every cat needs a heating pad and this is the best one Iâve found.

Doesn’t get as warm as expected, but still works for guinea pigs with the right set up.
I’m still a little unsure if my mat is faulty, or if the heat released is just very low level. According to my thermometer, it is raising the ambient temperature of the air around it, but I’m unsure of how effective this is going to be on very cold nights, and whether this will be a replacement or complement to snugglesafes. Will adjust review accordingly.Update:So I placed this under a thin blanket inside a blanketed enclosure within my guinea pig cage, in order to create an enclosed area to contain the heat it releases and it seems to be effective. I managed to hide the cable through the coroplast and the blanket on top tucks underneath quite well so I’m not too concerned about the cable being bitten through. I wish the blanket was slightly bigger but so far I would recommend this as my pigs all seem to like it.

Perfect for an elderly cat living in a cold house. He spends most of winter sitting happily on it – I have it underneath his padded bed. Very cheap to run too.

Didn’t last very long!
Bought it for our elderly cat. They did not visibly damage the pad but not long after purchase it started to not heat up in one area. This gradually spread to most of the pad. Tried contacting Amazon to resolve but they told me to contact the supplier directly. I did this but they never responded. 2 months after purchase I had to buy another pad from a different supplier! Not impressed.

Great customer service
Bought the heat pad and it failed after minimal use over around 5 weeks, Jess (cat) absolutely loved it so we were disappointed, as we were out of time for an Amazon return I contacted the supplier directly to inform them if the issue, the customer service was superb and a replacement was sent out within 24 hours, Jess is once again one happy cat! As are we, would definitely recommend the product, great that itâs safe to leave on overnight when the heating is off so our elderly cat is still kept warm.

Was sceptical after reading reviews, but item was fine and has been running for 4wks now with noProblems. Puppies love it and it was great to have it running during their delivery to keep pups warm during delivery of rest of litter

I am the proud parent to 2 Sphynx darlings so you can imagine a nice place to cuddle up is pretty important.The mat has worked well for 6 months and was there go to place over the day. Today i noticed both were not using it so on checking it was stone cold! Will not buy again which is a shame as the temp was perfect

My old, arthritic cat really enjoyed this heating mat during our cold, northern winters. This mat provided just the right amount of warmth and it fit comfortably in his cat bed. I think the mat size suits cats and small to medium sized dogs. For large and giant breeds you might need to purchase two mats. I highly recommend this product.

So I purchased this for my outdoor cat. I have a solar panel set up with a marine battery. At first I was very upset that the plug for this is NOT american. But u was able to plug into the solar device which saved the project. It uses half the energy and warms my kitty. Problem now solved, thank you. Just in time for this freezing ice storm.
