How to set the sensitivity of the emergency video recorder on the APP?
Open the KAWA AUTO app and connect to the dash cam. On the preview interface, tap the settings icon in the top-right corner and navigate to “Advanced Settings” > “Emergency Video” > “Collision Detection Sensitivity” to adjust the sensitivity.
What is the AI Motion Detection?
When the vehicle’s engine is off and the dash cam is in standby mode, it will record an emergency video if it detects movement around the vehicle. Please note: This feature requires the installation of a Hardwire kit.

Choose a genuine U3 high-speed card from a reputable brand to avoid potential issues like system crashes, video frame drops, or other compatibility issues. Recommended to use the official KAWA Micro SD card, addressing potential compatibility issues.

Excellent set of Dashcams
I have used many dashcams before and this set is definitely one of the best I’ve come across. It is loaded with features and also appears to be very well made overall.Arrived securely packed in its branded box, it is a set of two cams (both a front and rear one) alongside a mini SD card which I found to be nice little bonus. Both wires are pretty decent in length and I was able to connect them both easily and managed to also hide them behind the trim (a trim remover tool was also provided for ease). The app is pretty straightforward to download and install, and works well too.In terms of video quality, the front dashcam is pretty impressive overall. It is definitely HD at minimum (doesn’t appear to be that 4K crystal clear quality on both dashcam itself or on my mobile phone in honesty). For the rear cam, it is again decent but don’t think it is 1080p as advertised. Still as a whole, both these cams are great and get the job done in my opinion.In terms of price, I do believe this set is somewhat costly (£129 with a £30 promotion at the time of this review) but given the ease of use and practicality it offers, still worth it and has value for money in my opinion. In short, well pleased and would recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars.

Excellent dashcam, in the main
This is a well-featured dashcam. Spec-wise, you couldnât ask for much more. Itâs neat and unobtrusive, using the supplied adhesive mount. They managed to squeeze a good non-touch display in, despite the compact dimensions.To get the best out of it and use its parking mode, youâll need to hard-wire it to the carâs electrics. For most people, that probably wonât be a DIY job. Either way, youâll need the âparking monitoring cableâ. Itâs probably worth the investment. And, of course, youâll need to find a way of running a cable to the rear camera. Will be tricky to do so neatly in some cars.The app downloaded and installed readily enough. Pairing and setup were reasonably straightforward, and then I went for a drive. Image quality from the front camera is mainly impressive, among the best Iâve seen from a dashcam. Just don’t expect the definition youâd expect from a 4K TV. Colour night-time footage is very welcome â quality inevitably suffers in the dark but static number plates are usually legible. Obviously, the 1080p rear camera canât match the front one, but you still get clear evidence of what went on behind your car.The supplied SD card is only 64GB. It would be worth investing in a bigger one but make sure itâs suitable for dashcam continuous writing. A SanDisk High Endurance card, for example, ideally at least 256GB.Negative points?1. The silver ring round the lens make it stand out in the windscreen, perhaps making it more of a theft target.2. The camera canât be detached from its mount without removing the power cable (most Nextbase dashcams connect power to the base and the camera can be removed from the base).3. The app lets the camera down a little; it does work but setup was less than smooth and the UI not altogether intuitive (but itâs ok when youâve used it for a while).Overall, this is a recommendable dashcam, assuming youâre going to be able to make use of the rear camera. Iâm glad to have one. Itâs replacing my ageing Nextbase 622GW.

Works as expected
The camera build quality is great!The front 4K footage looks great in both day and night with number plates being easily legible from both the front and back cameras.Installation was very easy – The supplied cables are long enough to run from the front to the back with a little extra length to spare – I removed the side floor trim and ran the cables inside there so its well hidden.The display is large and bright enough too to be easily legible with a decent resolution for playback purposes.I have not used a Dash Cam before, so I don’t have any comparison but for what this offers, I’m more than impressed.The included Micro SD card is only 64GB, wish I were bigger, though replacement cards are cheap enough, I am yet to replace mine with a bigger size so not yet sure if it is compatible. (I will update accordingly when I get round to it)

Decent cam in good light. Less so in the dark.
â Good front camera in daytime conditions. Even in fast motion, I was able to easily make out number plates. Video capture was smooth, and it has a wide field of view.â Easy to install. Has a separate mount to clip the main camera into place, allowing you to add/remove it easily.â Has 64GB of storage, which can auto-rewrite back over itself when it becomes full. At 4K res, it soon fills up though, so I added a 512GB card, for longer history.â Front cam has a tilt on it, allowing you to easily position it to capture the best angle for your particular vehicle.â App is decent, and easy to connect to the cam. Allows fine-tune control on various cam options, plus an easy to view gallery of all your captures/videos.â Night vision is OK when still, but it can be difficult to see the plates in motion. While this is probably fine for most instances you’d need dash cam as evidence (such as a crash into the front/back of your car for example) don’t expect ultra-premium quality in low-light conditions.â Like previous KAWA models, there’s no touch screen on the LED display. Buttons are on the underside, but are responsive enough.â Back cam is much lower quality than the front. License plates are much harder to detect in good light. Near-impossible in the dark.
